a life in happiness

Many people search for an eternity, of a life in happiness, some claim to have found it, some believe that it doesn´t exist, well the truth is that, it´s not so simple, it´s not just black and white, happiness is an highly individual thing, we all have different ideas about what makes us happy, for someone happiness, is a little house, wife and kids, for others, it´s the constantly search for adventure, for others again, it´s financiel freedom. My point is that we all have different opinions about what happiness is.

can it be found ?

Is it possible to find it, well that´s actually up to you, are you prepared to do what it takes?. To find happiness you must really look deep inside yourself, to find out what makes you happy, what do the life you always have dreamed of look like, and what will it take to get there, no one says it will be easy, but you have to figure out wether it´s worth a try or not. I once asked my dad, " how can i be sure to live a life in happiness ", and my dad said, with a beautiful smile, " son, that´s a garantee no one can give you, but you can work for it, it wont be easy, but if you just remember these three things, you will be on the right path.

  • Work as if you don´t need the money
  • dance like no one is seeing you
  • love like you´ve never been hurt

And when he said it, i first thougt he was crazy, i didn´t understand it, but now, as an adult, it makes perfectly sence, so maybe he wasn´t crazy after all.

These are the words of advice from a man, who have worked like a horse all of his life, and still do, for his family, without ever asking anything in return, and with a smile on his face, that can melt an iceberg.

Conclusion

So, my conclusion is, that happiness is in all of us, most of the time we just need, to find it, find out what makes us happy, and how to achieve it, wich often seems to be the hardest part. Happiness can be found, it´s a matter of willpower to keep up the search.

Nice post. I share some of your points, but I also think that hapiness is around us. It's up to us to get it... or not. And one must also remember that there is no small pieces of joy, as I told in my hub http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-be-happy-and-why

I really like what your dad said. It is easy to get lost in what society expects of us and how others view us. Being societal creatures, I don't think we can totally escape from that - but we can certainly try to blunt its effects. Nice hub - keep it up!

This is very interesting, maybe we just got crazy and that's why it makes sense now. Even crazy people can get wiser though: http://www.theohanasecret.com/x.php?a=r&id=220
