Weight loss has become the new hype of the century.

Everywhere anyone looks these days, we see pictures or commercials concentrated on nice well formed , fit, trimmed, well contoured bodies.Some of them may have been gotten through the miracle of plastic surgery.(The ones that can afford it or are willing to go through the experience ....! )

Others, .. on the other hand; try to get the results through trying out pills or supplements.Through my own experience, I myself have tried some of these weight loss tactics and they do work to an extent. The plain truth is that the right way to achieve the weight loss through the pills, is basically through boosting up its effects by exercising and eating food that is essentially good for you!.....If you think pills will do it all by themselves you will be disappointed.As we find ourselves trying to follow the weight loss hype many of us will fail through lack of effort while others will achieve success by starting a fitness and weight loss routine and sticking with it.The tricky part of it all is to decide to get started....

Getting started....

All in all, the best way to achieve weight loss and achieve a certain level of fitness is through proper diet, exercise and drinking plenty of water of course...You must persevere, and don't give up too soon.... I do believe that the best way to get started is by taking a good look at yourself and decide if you are going to go around feeling sorry for yourself, just plain complaining about your appearance, or are you going to do something about it.

Throughout the many experiences that I have had, with my own obsession with weight loss and fitness, I can tell you that you can achieve success but you must be serious about it.

Taking out the fear from getting started in your weight loss program...

Thinking about this feared by many task; is not really that difficult to achieve... if you just stop being lazy so to speak... Just by making a few motions a day or fidgeting you can jump start your calorie burn.Don't fill your mind with but I don't have time, the best way to find time is thinking about when you are making breakfast in the morning... as you are doing this task you can blend in a few stretches or moves.

Dance around, do squats or lunges while your breakfast gets cooked. If you microwave your food then walk around your table until your food is ready. I 'll get bored and I won't succeed...another excuse that people use to get out of exercising. Make it fun... Put music on, ask your kids to join you in a fun dance mode. ...Take the excuses out of the picture. Just a few minutes a day can help your heart get stronger..Just follow some of these easy tips and you will not have to worry about the fear factor. You will be so thankful that you did ...

A few tips on jump starting your body's metabolism.......

  • One of the first things that you should do in the morning is drink an eight ounce glass of water. This water can be warmed up,  add a few drops of lemon juice in it, or just drink it plain. Some people say that if you drink it cold that the body burns more calories because the body has to work harder at getting warmed up.
  • Do some stretches... Get up and move your arms in small slow circles. Don't go flapping your arms as if you are about to take off like a bird ...just take your time.do some leg stretches... You can even stretch your legs laying down or on the floor,sitting down.....if you decide you want to stretch on your bed, try lifting your legs up and then split them .. Feel the grain of your muscle... Feel them stretching.... you can even feel some warming of the body after repeating this splitting motion a couple of times.Rotate your legs in small circles is almost as if you were performing yoga.

Colon Cleanse

I myself,  drink water as soon as I wake up in the morning. This task helps  get your colon started.Your body will essentially begin some peristaltic movements that will aid in getting rid of impurities from the body.This is a simple way of colon cleansing without spending too many dollars. If you are like me and want to experiment with colon cleansing, I can tell you that I have tried it and it feels great to get the body cleansed.

You feel more energetic,less bloated, become more regular if you have ever experienced problems with constipation or irregularity. (this is going to cost you some money but it is well worth it.)Let me tell you why... I had went to a specialist to get checked out for what I thought could be a hyetal hernia. It was some type of discomfort that I was experiencing at the top of my stomach. I had been doing colon cleansing for a while, maybe several times a year,I went to the specialist, and when I had a procedure done called an endoscopy his review on my colon was ..... Her colon was unremarkable...He told me there was nothing wrong with me and that everything looked great!.....

But what about my discomfort. Well,..... I will tell you, that unbelievable as it may sound.. the discomfort was gone or lessened after I had been going to this specialist..you are probably thinking.. He probably gave you pills or some diet to follow.. You are wrong...... I believe this must have been achieved through the colon cleansing efforts.Money well spent.

  • Massage... Massage is also a way to get your muscles moving to help you get a jump start in calorie burning... The massage that I perform on my abdominal area every morning, is another key factor on my discomfort lessening or dissapearing.One good perk of the massage; my arms are more toned as well.There you have it, a few tips on jump starting your weight loss experience.

How to achieve results in as little as 2 weeks.

1) Get going with a program that you know you will like.

2) Drink plenty of water.(8- eight ounce glasses)

3) Exercise daily- at least 5 times a week(look for exercise shows or look in magazines such as women's health or Shape . Look into yoga.Not too hard exercises that will keep you motivated.Go walking even if its around the house.Eat a well balanced healthy diet.You may do exercises less times a week but then you need to intensify the workout.

You can do short interval work outs. What I mean is that you can do a certain type of workout for about 5 minutes then change it to something else throughout your whole work out . This way you can keep your muscles guessing what will you do next. This is a sure way of keeping your muscles from getting used to one movement and hitting a plateau.You will surely feel the burn as you alternate from move to move.

skip on carbonate or sugary drinks.(I personally have given up on sodas . It has been a good couple of weeks since I made up my mind.I don't even think about it. Make some smoothies but do not add ice cream to them . Make them with fruit only and some milk. I like to add acai berry juice to mine and some resveratrol juice.The smoothies are not too sweet and help your body get regulated.

Eat a well balanced diet..... I don't mean starve yourself. You can eat what you like, but in moderation. If you feel hungry after let's say; a slice of pizza, .... drink water or eat an apple or some type of fruit. You could also eat a salad with your pizza slice that way you get filled up quicker.....A good trick remember the lemon water I told about earlier on ... well, drink some lemon water prior to eating your portion of food. This will help tame the hunger.:-)

Keep a log or jot down some notes of your progress. It helps keep you motivated....I personally have a little magnetized note pad on my fridge door. When I weigh myself, I write it down then I compare my weight to the previous time I wrote it down to see if there are improvements.

Whenever you are also attempting to lose weight you need to consider getting lots of sleep. 8 hours is the norm. If you didn't know it, lack of sleep has been linked with the accumulation of fat around the middle. This is triggered by the hormone cortisol. This is also linked to diabetes.. So make sure that you are getting lots of zzzzzz....To aid in your battle with the bulge... I'm sure that after following all of these great tips you'll start seeing weight loss results in 2 weeks.

I've been trying the lemon juice and water first thing in the morning! I look the refreshing way it makes me feel, and It's been getting my bowels moving as well! (sorry if that was too much information)
