It is that time of year folks,to start trying out those homemade recipes for great drinks to share with freinds and family.

Here are a few I have experimented with and they came out pretty well.

Rim the glass with sea salt.

Fill a (metal) coctail shaker with about 1/3 crushed ice.

Mix together the lime juice, Margarita mix, Tequila, and Triple Sec. Shake in the cocktail mixer and pour into the glass, straining the ice.

For a sweeter (less tart) Margarita, increase the lime Margarita mix to 2 ounces, and decrease the lime juice to 1 ounce. The mixture is always 3:2:1 (3 parts lime, 2 parts Tequila, 1 part Triple Sec).

This recipe can be pre-mixed without the ice and stored in the refrigerator. 6 ounces is one serving.

I take 1/2 can whole cranberries.

3 slices pineapple

1 jigger vodka

1 cup margurita mix

4 ice cubes

squeeze lemon juice.

Place ingredients in blender a blend

Makes 2 Marguritas.

It is delicious.

Try a Pomegranate Martini

1/2 ounce simple syrup

1 1/2 ounces citrus vodka

1 ounce fresh pomegranate juice

1 lemon wedge

In a cocktail shaker combine Stirrings Simple Syrup, Smirnoff Citrus Vodka, and pomegranate juice with plenty of ice.

1. Cover and shake vigorously.
2. Strain into a martini glass.
3. Garnish with lemon wedge.
