Finding old cars that are in good shape to restore them can be difficult to do. Once you find a car selling them is easy. The old cars are getting harder and harder to find.

First thing that you want to do is find a car that is within your ability to get it running or make it look good. As long as the body isn't all rusted out you will be fine. It does take allot of time and sometimes money to restore a car back to perfect condition, but you don't always have to restore a car back to mint condition.

If you go to Auto Fairs, Car shows, or Car auctions (Barrett Jackson is the execption) you will find cars there that need work, maybe they are running but are not painted. Or they are painted and the interior is done but don't have a drivetrain. These cars still can make you a profit even though your car isn't completed.

Many cars are bought and cleaned up to make them look not quite as bad as when you purchased it. Vacuum it out wash it up and place it up for sale while still turning a profit.

Since this is the hardest thing to do, you want to look many places. Ebay search "project cars" . You can always good deals there.

Craigslist.com is another good place to find cheap cars to restore.

Driving old back roads you will see the cars up for sale.

Old cars are usually not pretty to look at when you first get to them. But with a little bit of work you will be able to get them restored or saleable in a short period of time.

The profit we decide on depends on on what we have done to the car if we restore it the whole way, or just cleaned it up and turned around to resell.
