How to make Mothers Day Special
61Mother's Day - make it special
Mother's Day only comes once a year.
Sure... We all know that we practice and share out love with Mom all year round.  But Mother's Day.... It reallly should be a special day for one special lady. It just puts the icing on the cake.  We need to let Mom have "ONE" special day to know that she is loved and cared about. So, how should we do that?
Start by saying I LOVE YOU
A simple "I LOVE YOU" goes a long way.... Mom's are always there and don't always hear these words. Let these thoughts be known.
Mothers are usually taken for granted. Cook a meal, do the laundry, kiss the boo-boo.
We don't always "thank" mom for doing these things; but we should. Mom might feed the family and go directly to the sink to do dishes without even eating dinner herself. Maybe (like in my household), Mom got a little lazy and forgot to do socks (laundry). Well, alas! Now we have 14 pair of clean socks in our drawer. Did we even thank Mom? Maybe not.
How about the boo-boo that we (or our child) got? Didn't Mom come running out with a Band-Aid to fix it? A simple "I LOVE YOU, MOM" on Mother's Day would certainly work for me.

David Goldman's nightmare is finally over. A little something special
In my opinion - Mom's do love simple cards, gifts, or suprises for Mother's Day. If you want to make it special - how about a gift from the heart? Try these:
A wake up "song" (sung by the little one along with Daddy - and in my ear) with a great homemade breakfast that is awaiting. Or, better yet - breakfast in bed!
A simple homemade (hand made!) card with a kiss on the cheek. The card contains a "coupon" for "1 week of dirty dish duty". WOW! This means that I can finally put some nail polish on my toes!
A simple pick of flowers from the garden (please, don't pick your neighbors flowers!), and tied with a ribbon that Santa just so left behind.
A BIG iced coffee from our favourite coffee house - ready, willing and able for her - right before Mom wakes up.
What ever your family may find special; well that is what you should do for Mom.

congratulations on this hub, with a great theme. I really hate it when they knock people down to 49, it happens to me regularly, if it is good enough to be used by hub pages it is good enough to PASS that's my view.
so, from me, if not from them, well done.
