Creating a Quality Sale Page for your website

Now that you have in mind the key factors to sell your website you need to create a sale page for it.

Many people do it in forums which is a great way to let people know about the sale but it's essential to have a sale page on the website.

A good sale page must have information about the website and not just the sale. The more information you give the more confortable a possible buyer will get to do business with you.

Some key information will regard:

  • domain age
  • site age
  • pagerank
  • number of backlinks
  • statistics
  • revenue

With this in mind you are ready to start creating your sale page.

Start by making an introduction about the sale. Always introduce your product and what the page is about don't just do something like this is the sale page and here is the information.

Write a sale letter, tell a litle about the site past, it's history, it's goals.

After your sale letter start by showing some website statistics. It's nice to know why you created your website and how much it grown but show me the numbers...

Show images of your statistics and when refering a number, put a link on it to confirm what you say it's true. So lets say your website has pagerank 5, put a link that will allow a visitor to confirm that is true. Same with Technorati Authority, Backlinks, etc...

End this part by showing a graph of the revenue. Many people show number but if the website revenue increased be sure you have a graph showing the revenue has increased on a montly basis.

End you sale page with a call to action

Now you're at the end of you sale page.

Here is where you make a call to action for potential buyers to contact you or make an offer so make it easy for them to do this.

Create a form on page, don't just make a link to the contact page. Remember the easier it is for someone to do something, the higher is probability that they will do it.

And don't be lasy, make the page eye appealing with nice visual stimulation, appealing forms.

Last but not least, make sure you have the price of your website at the bottom of your sale page and if you have an offer higher than that value, update the value on your sale page.

Hope this article is helpfull to you. This is just the basic on how to create a sale page for a website. There are more factors to keep in mind that will depend on the amount and quality of the sale.
