0-2 Years

Up to the age of two kids can identify colors only. So it is important to decorate the walls with attractive colors. It is good to apply Pink or Green for the girls, Blue and Light-violet for boys. Modern cradles can be place in the middle of the room. Walls can be decorated with dark pictures. It is better to place toys near to the child. They like mostly the toys which are hard in color and makes sound. Baby stroller, high chair, rocking chair shall also be used in their rooms.

2-6 Years

Now they have reached the world filled with games and stories. During this age boys deals with toys such as guns and bats where as girls prefer dolls. The room could be decorated with cartoon characters like Tom and Jerry, Mickey Mouse, and Spider-man etc. Separate draws can be provided for drawing books and crayons. The rooms may also be decorated with Teddy Bears and barbey. Boys’ rooms could be decorated with Soft- balls, bats, guns etc.

6-12 Years

It’s the time to change colors like Pink and blue. At this age the prior importance is given for sports and games. Now the room should also have its maturity. Now they even start to love both film stars and sportsmen. Apart from cartoon character they starts loving motor race and computer games, which indirectly meant to change computers towards their rooms. Beside of their room there must also be some space for them to sit and read.

Teenage is the age which gives prior importance for dreams. They also have good enthusiasm in their works. So it should also appear in their rooms. Colors like Yellow, Blue etc should be painted in their rooms. People of this age give more importance for cinema, sports and music. Some of them love players like Yuvraj but have less interest towards cricket. But they mostly love talented people in modern music and cinemas. But some have craze which even makes their celebrities posters in their rooms.

            If the craze is for Motor race then the poster could be changed towards it. Metal wardrobe could be made more attractive by applying different colors. Some may apply colors just as according to some fairy tales to make it more mysterious. Rooms could be made more attractive by hanging musical instruments like Guitars, Violin or just the cricket bat.

If the upper wall is painted with pictures like stars for those who have keen interest towards Science then it would be rather better. The room may become more attractive with the pictures ranging between Isaac Newton and Sunita Williams. The decoration should be done to such an extend that the rooms could be cleaned by himself. Carpets could be minimized. The rooms should have big windows, which is to minimize the darkness made by the dark paints. Lights should be fitted in such a way that it would help for both reading and for computer usage also. Dim lights are more helpful for those who are afraid of sleeping alone.
