Maple and Brown Sugar Rice Krispie Treats

This is our twist on your everyday rice krispie treats. We have tried it many way from adding cinnamon to sprinkles and this was our favorite. Hope you enjoy it as well.

6 cups of rice krispies

3 tablespoons of butter

½ cup of brown sugar

¼ cup of maple syrup

10 oz of marshmallows

Wax paper

Large sauce pan

13x9 pan

Melt butter in sauce pan, then add sugar and syrup, mix well then remove from heat and add marshmallows. When melted all together add your rice krispies and coat evenly. Put the gooey mixture in a 13x9 pan and press it in there with the wax paper until firm. Wait 10 minutes and then cut. They usually taste better the first day but will keep in an air tight container until the next day.

Omit the syrup and add 2tsp cinnamon. Really good.

Omit the sugar and syrup for sprinkles. Kids love them this way.
