Once I found a niche market, mine happened to be rare tv shows, movies, etc., my next step was to spend some time searching numerous search engines for websites and suppliers of these tv shows and movies. So now I had my potential customers and my suppliers, I was ready to start my business.

I figured my time and effort in sourcing these items for my customers was worth about 10% commission, so I simply added this to the price of the item, so lets say somebody places a want ad looking for a hard to find tv show on dvd, you search the web for this at the best price you can get it, you get a price of $45 with $5 p&p charges, so it costs $50 in total, add on your commission, you can choose this, I usually charge between 10-15% depending on how difficult it is to source the item, so simply add your commision, 15% which is $7.50, this brings the total to $57.50. You reply to the want ad quoting this price and also including details about postage and packaging, quality of item, etc. If this is accepted, give the customer your payment details, if you plan on accepting paypal payments make sure you add the paypal fee to the total cost of the item along with your commission. When you receive payment only then do you order the item giving instructions to have the item posted to the address of the customer, not your address, this ensures that your customer receives their item as soon as possible. A good idea is to give additional istructions to your supplier asking them not to include a receipt with the package but to send it to you instead, you can in turn send a receipt to your customer as they are buying from you not the supplier. This will avoid any confusion regarding your commission. So now you will have made your first transaction and as you go forward it will become easier and you will become more efficient as you build up a customer base and a good supplier list. You can make as much money as you chose with this system, it all depends on how much time you can put into it.

• Beware of customers trying to pay with money orders.
• Follow up on transactions, this will please your customers and will lead to repeat business.
• Some suppliers may offer you a commision on every sale you close for them or offer discounts so always enquire.
• Place your own free ads in classifieds promoting your service, you don't need a website just include your email and details on products you source.
• Sign up with paypal, pppay, google checkout etc., the more payment methods you can make/receive the more efficient your service will be.
• If you are getting a lot of business you may decide to start up your own website sourcing rare and hard to find products, this is an excellent way to generate more profits as you can branch out on the products you source and build up a very profitable business.

This is a tried and tested money making system and it taps into the very essence of business: buy low, sell high. If you put some time and effort into this you will make a good income.
