Soy Wax Candle Making for Beginners
Making Soy Candles
For making Soy candles you need Soy wax, a pan and stove top for heating the Soy wax, fragrance oil, a wick, a jar or a bottle for putting your candle inside it when you are done. If you take an average sized jelly jars then you will require 1 pound of wax and 1 ounce of fragrance oil.
Steps:-
Melt the Soy wax in a large sized pan over a medium heat on your stove top. Be careful while heating the wax. If you want to avoid heating then you may even use your microwave by using a safe glass bowl. Stir the soy while heating so that all the material melts uniformly and thoroughly.
After it changes its states from solid form to liquid form, pour the entire mixture in the jar which you planed earlier. Be very careful while transferring the mixture as it is very hot. Wear a protective gear so that your hands don’t burn if some liquid drips onto your hand.
Now instantly stir the fragrance oil into the blend according to the guidelines given on the package to add flavor to it.
Now be careful while inserting the wick in the center of the blend to let the candle burn magnificently. Use some object like a pen or scale or something else to help your wick stay in the center until the entire blend inside the jar has been cooled and solidified.
Now the final step is to trim your wick. Usually garnishing it to a half an inch to three quarters of an inch is adequate amount to make it burn easily.
Now your candle is ready to burn. You can add it to your home décor or gift it to your loved ones.
