Lavender perfume is so refreshing. Whether you hang these bags in your wardrobe amongst your clothes or place small ones in your drawers the clothes will always smell great.

You will need:

1.Drying Lavender flowers

If you don't have any dried flowers, then click on the above link to see how to dry them out.

2.Material of your choice, it could be muslin, voile, lace depending on the look you wish to achieve.

3. Lace, decorate with this if you wish to make it look more delicate and fancy. Use thin ribbon to thread through like a drawstring or just catch edges together and tie it up.

Cut out a simple rectangle approx 210mm x 100mm. Fold in half with the right side inside. Leave about a 10 mm edge and machine stitch along two sides. Turn inside out and fill to just over half full with Lavender flowers. Now turn the top edges in and machine stitch along the edge, sealing it closed. That was simple, don't you agree. Now make a few more, only this time use some variations.

Hang in wardrobe

This is very simple too. Do the same as before, only this time make a loop with a small piece of the same fabric, and push both ends inside before stitching last seam up. This forms the loop to place on hanger.

Doily sachet

To do this you will need a round doily. Place Lavender flowers into the centre, then gather up the ends, and either using a ribbon or a piece lace tie it up into a sachet, like in the picture. I have used a yellow ribbon to make it easier to see in the photo.

Alternatively, you could cut out a circle of fabric and stitch and edging lace around the edge. Now tie in the same way as the doily.

Now use your own imagination, and design your own creations. Different types of materials and variations in shapes will give you other effects. You could also sew up a little bag then tie with a drawstring threaded into the material. Use a lace handkerchief, or monogram a pattern on plain materials, whatever you do make sure you have fun making them.
