How to optimise images for maximum of adsense earnings?

Photo blogs now have become the best of making quick money with the growing number of Image search across the Search Engines. Even Google is working on indexing for Image search. Even popular blogs of getting handful of visitors and traffic through Image search. SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) for images are necessary irrespective of whether you run a photo blog or a normal blog to bring in targetted traffic and make money out of it.

Image SEO Tips:

  • Name the image properly and always try give proper name. It can be your keyword too. Include hyphens between names if the image name is long.

eg)search-engine-optimisation.jpg

  • Include an alt attribute to describe your image. Alt attribute must be provided with keywords that you are targetting.

eg) <img src="images/image-seo.jpg" alt="keywords" />

  • Include the images in the page which is optimsied for keywords. Googlebot Images finds images by crawling your site's web pages and picking up whatever images it finds with the context it finds them in.

  • Include title attribute for images. It doesnot contribute to SEO much but it do matters. To know more about image tags read this link.

eg) <img src="images/image-seo.jpg" alt="keywords" alt="tool-tip"/>

Write post with niche keywords and appropriately wrap it out with Images. Overall the image and page must be optimized to get listed and pull more traffic that brings more Adsense income.

Donts:

  • Dont stuff the page with keywords
  • Dont stuff the alt and title attribute of image tags with keywords. Google bot is brilliant enough to identify that.
