How to optimize Google ads on my site?

I strongly believe the fellow hubber who made this request is talking about optimizing google ads within hubpages, to be more clear: within every hub of the user.

Well, from my experience I'm sharing few things that I felt really useful and it works for me... And, I expect feedback from fellow hubbers who are reading this page.

Google ads come with various formats like leader boards, banners, rectangles, large rectangles etc. But, here in hubs (within hubpages) you can see only a limited set of ad formats are being used. So, we have to make the page design in such a way we get good amount of clicks on google ads however Page impressions happen eventually.

You can see a banner on top, just below the headline of every hub that is common for all hubs. For more clear idea about ad placement and page design, hubbers can visit the following link that will take you to a hub that I created using my other id. I feel that hub would be a visual example for this.

You can see in most of the poor designed hubs, a rectangle format google ad goes down below the Comments capsule we use here. Just think...Will it come to a visitor's notice if the ad is below the comments box?

Not at all, because for a visitor who comes out of hubpages and is totally not aware of what is a hub, the page ends where he/she sees the Comments. That person won't see the ads that are placed in such least noticed areas and also you will receive hardly some clicks there.

Well, you can bring that rectangle ad within your content (not going below comments box). How? Simply, make atleast one paragraph like this (and one more on the top) so that you will get the rectangle google ad within that paragraph as it floats on right side.

Thank you all. Let me know your comments.
