As exciting and adventurous as planning a beach wedding may seem, it can be a daunting task when you have no clue where to begin. Though a beach wedding may appear to be hassle free it may require much more thought in the logistics department.

I have complied a list of some of the How to plan a beach wedding FAQ.No doubt these questions where all on my mind when I was planning my own beach wedding.

1. How do you begin how to plan a beach wedding?

One of the key elements in the beach wedding planning stage is no doubt deciding on a location. Once you decide on a location , you will have a better idea of how many guests will be able to attend, for example if you choose and exotic overseas location then not all family may make it, but if you stay local then they may use this as an opportunity for a family vacation.

Besides reasons of affordability,when selecting a location you may want to start by first choosing the country location.Do keep in mind the season and weather or not you want a sunrise or sunset wedding, this can help deciding on location.If you do wish to go abroad then keep the following in mind;

• Budget for your accomodation and wedding costs as well as cost for guests.
• How much control do you want over the details of your wedding?Remember if you opt for a package destination wedding then its pretty much a cookie cutter package no different from the next wedding, so decide if you want to get personal or have a no mess no fuss type of ceremony.

3. Do we have to pay for and arrange guests travel arrangements in a destination beach wedding?

No. You are not expected to pay for travel or accommodations for guests or book accommodation. All you do is invite them then provide them with nessasary direction and location information. You could compile a list of the most affordable locations.I was invited to a wedding in London recently.I received an invitation in the mail with directions, maps and a few accommodation venues in the vicinity of the wedding. The rest was up to me to get to the wedding on time and have a place to stay afterward.

Of course you can offer to pay for accommodation if you want to and are able to afford to, but it is not essential.

4. Is it acceptable to wear a formal wedding dress for a beach wedding?

Remember it is your special day and whatever you chose to wear is a personal preference but do keep in mind that you have mother nature to contend with in outdoor conditions.and walking on the beach sand is not the same a s a carpet on a solid floor.

As much as you want to look gorgeous you also want to feel comfortable and confident, you don't want to feel hot and sweaty in a big long sleeved dress, so be sure to think practicality and aesthetics when choosing your beach wedding dress.

5. What should the Groom wear if I'm wearing a more formal dress.

It is very popular for the groom in a beach wedding to wear something less formal than a tux to his beach wedding.Ideal casual wear for the groom includes  light colors (white or beige) and light weight materials such as cotton or linen.

6. What shoes should I wear for a beach wedding?

As sexy as stilettos are I'm afraid they don't belong on the beach, the last thing you wart is to be stuck in the beach sand.Do keep in mind that whatever the type of shoe you choose you will get sand into it so bets opt for a sandal. If you're an au naturelle girl then going barefoot just may be the solution for you, there are several decorative and elegant foot bracelets to adorn your barefeet. Second to going barefoot is the flip flop, it is casual and comfortable there are also several adorned versions available for a more formal look.

7. How long does the beach wedding ceremony last?

The typical civil ceremony itself can take between 10 to 15 minutes , this depends if you have any special readings, music, or will be performing a sand ceremony or other rituals. So your time on the beach shouldn't take too long.

8. What happens if it rains?

Have a backup plan just in case it rains, access the situation on the day to see if it can be salvages, if you can stand the 15 minutes of light rain then you may get away with umbrellas but if its a downpour then you may need a covered location.Be sure to check seasonal weather conditions when choosing your beach wedding location.

Alternatively you could have a waterproof canopy for the beach wedding ceremony.
