There are various way of preventing your children from watching television or surfing the internet. In my own point of view would say that children are likely to prove stubborn and also desire to do their self will, but has a parent you have to make your stand clear to the child. Below are the follow ways.

A parent has to make timetable for their children or child whatever the case may be. This is good because the child would know that this is the time for reading and this is time to watch movies or sleep. It is written in the Bible that train up a child the way he or she should go and when he or she is grown up will not depart from it. This is saying is true, the timetable given to them by the parent should not be taken fragile but seriously. Some every parent should try to enforce it and try to talk it into the mind of the child, in order from him or her to understand and also keep to it.

A parent should know that the child does not know what is good for him or her but a good parent would not like to see his or her child jumping into the deep blue sea.

Another way to enforce is to disconnect the television and also the internet facilities in the computer this would make the child not to have any alternative but to study his or her books. This really goes a long in bringing the child to his or her studies.

This gesture of trying to make your child study should be introduce early enough in the child's live. A parent should not wait when the child is up to 18 years before trying to enforce him or her to study his or her books. Would  say it is too late for that.

Children study their parent a lot, they do what they see their parent doing. Some a parent should take it as a point of duty to study at the hour the child is also studing. This would pass a right and motivating spirit to the child in order for him or her to study in order for him or her to know more about the globe and his or her environs. The parent should be an example and also a guide the child to follow. The study hours of the child should be the study hours of the parent.

These are some of the ways a parent could prevent his or her child from getting distracted.

I liked that point of yours- Children following their parents and do as they do. This is true. We must know what we are doing in front of a child. Even a small mistake or wrong step from us misleads the child many times

Simple, solid, truthful solutions. And yes, putting a snack in front of them is a great idea. Nicely done.
