S.O.S. = Save Our Savings!

Did you felt yet the crunch on your wallet, because of the financial crisis that is going on? It's something like the Crash of Wall Street in 1929, but experts say it's an even more Bigger Bang, to say it with the Stones. Several banks and financial institutions have gone down. Market analysts and professional bank robbers are set into a real panic mode.

Okay, government has taken some action, with President George W. Bush signing the Emergency Stabilization Act of 2008, more commonly known as the Bailout Bill. But will the Bill do enough to save your savings and investments?

And here, ladies and gents, Hard Boiled Harry comes into the picture... Now, I want you to read the following paragraph very carefully, because here are some rich content and keyword phrases there, that will allow me - and you, if you follow my example and start online writing at the Hubpages - to make a decent living and earn already some pocket money online in stead of losing it on the bank:

You, no doubt, will have many, many questions about, let's say, your car, commercial vehicle, homeowner, landlord and life insurance quotes - maybe you want a cheap car or a low cost life insurance by now -, your school, college (or even federal) loan and debt consolidations, the best mortgage you can get and the really bad credit mortgages too, pay day and refinancing loans, equity loan rates and lines of credit or best credit card rates.

Do you want a business credit report from a real debt buster like me? I can help you and will do some real fine debt management for you! Don't wait no longer, but come and contact me... and see!

Big Dick Quotes (Ladies Only): "What you see is what you get!" and "Let me introduce to you..."

Dont' work no longer for your money, but let your money work for you... with a little help from Hard Boiled Harry!

Now, remember the Bailout Bill raises the limit on Federal Deposit Insurance Coverage, so your bank deposits are now insured up to $250,000 at any of de FDIC member institutions, including Bank of America, Commerce Bank, Chase, National City, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, Wachovia Bank, Citizens Bank, Sovereign Bank and Citibank.

It is true FDIC deposit insurance is fully backed by the U.S. government and you won't lose a cent from your deposits, but the coverage ends there and your stocks, bonds, mutual funds and money market funds are not insured. In other words, these insurances and investments are all up to you... and Hard Boiled Harry!

If your cash is covered by one of the banks I've mentioned above, you're safe. In that case, your money is insured and you can keep on building your retirement savings... But it would not be wise to keep all your eggs in one basket, would it? Your financial advisor will tell you that you have to diversify your investments... on the stock exchange and with a high-yield savings account, for example... or with other investment tools like only Hard Boiled Harry can get for you. Check out my partner Big Dick (if you're a lady, he will treat you courtesy and say "Let me introduce to you!"), Silly Willy who just like me can eliminate even a small but annoying inconvenience for you, or my HubPage associé The Lost Dutchman.

If your bank is backed by the FDIC, are you sure you get the best bank ratings? Check it out online, so you can compare the interest rates for a direct savings account with other financial services... And remember, don't work no longer for your money, but let your money work for you!

Now, you will ask me... How can I do that? Well, it's easy and it's free... Just contact Hard Boiled Harry!... He will hide your money in a secure environment and/or invest it in one of his brand new business plans. Don't forget, only Hard Boiled Harry can put your cash where the sun don't shine!

Where will Hard Boiled Harry put your Hard Boiled Cash in safety?

I have some great places where I can secure your cash... But you'll understand, I can't give here on the HubPages, just for free, all the information about the exact nature or location of these places. But if you have an offer I can't refuse, you may send a mail to the Lost Dutchman, who let me kindly use his HubPages.

If you don't have some hard boiled cash for me, you'll have to do it with these three tips:

1./ Start an online true treasure hunt for the money that was hidden in a mystery location...

2./ Somewhere in the jungle of Borneo... You hear the voice of the Lost Dutchman!... Want to go on a true treasure hunt trip with us? Just contact Dutchie!

3./ Somewhere on the site I found during one of my urban exploration expeditions... If you like to join me on a new trip, just contact Dutchie!

Where is the loot?

I have a final question, for all you Hubbers... Where do you think is Hard Boiled Harry's Hard Boiled Cash hidden?

  • In the Mystery City
  • In the Jungle of Borneo
  • In an Abandoned and Forbidden Industrial Archeaology Site?
  • In Switzerland (with thanks to Constant Walker, for the suggestion)

Funny, Dutchman, but really: Is it just as safe, or safer, to have foreign investments? I'm totally serious.

We had and have here in Belgium the same troubles too... This Hard Boiled Harry Hub is written out of anger, I guess, with these banks of us, that made tons of profits with our money, and have to be saved now with our money, because they lost our money... It's more than cynical, it's surrealistic, I'm afraid. So, is it safer to have foreign investments? Not in Iceland, not in the UK, not in France, not in Belgium, not in...?

Is a savings account in Switzerland safer than elsewhere?

Back in the 90's when my father lost some money in stock market my mother used to say "we should have bought gold". Anyway looking at the way things are: I hate to admit maybe my mother's conventional wisdom was right.... Just my two cents...

My aunt, grandmother and I really enjoyed this article and the videos. We especially like the questionaire, which also made the experience so fun, in that it enabled us as readers to participate in the story itself. We came to a unanimous decision that Hard Boiled Harry hid his money in Switzerland.
