- 2. The data on your computer is stored in its memory this is electronic storage for all your information. Your hard drive in your CPU has data files on it, so when you take it to a data recovery specialist they can look at the master file table (MFT) to find out all the bits of data that are on the drive. They also can attempt to rebuild the data on the drive by hand by recreating the master boot record (MBR). To find out how Recovery Specialist do it check out: http://www.computerworld.com/
- 3. It is important to backup your files occasionally so as to easily access them later in case of a fire or water damage. On the Microsoft website: www.microsoft.com/protect/yourself/data/what.mspx
They give suggestions on what types of files you may want to backup.
Now that you have some options, the next time you accidently delete your e-mail address book you won't stress out over it so much.

Thanks Holly, I lost information before to and its a bummer.
This is a good information.
I had encountered this scenario before when I accidentally formatted the wrong drive but gladly able to recover some data using filescavenger and getdataback software. However if you have overlapped the previous data, like you formatted and installed new windows in the drive then filescavenger and getdataback will not do any good.
But i think easyundelete will do a great job on it. Thanks for putting it here.
Thanks BB for sharing.
RA, very very useful. I'm kind of a moron and go on huge deleting sprees, then regret it. Great info. :)
Thanks, I am glad you like it.
I was playing on a game with my 2 childeren on our pc begining of last week when all of a sudden the pc crashed and turned its self off and when i turned it back on it told me to re boot xp and press repair on the first blue screen so i did this hoping it would repair our pc so it would be back to how it was before it crashed, well after reinstalling XP Pro SP2 again, as it told me to do, so when all installed it asked me for a key gen, and i'd also lost all my documents including three years worth of photos of my 2 childeren growing up a full 14gig folder of music along with other things and it left me with most programmes corrupted. So i was wondering if there is any program or any help in the world that could recover everything lost as i didnt back anything up onto disk, silly i know but i thought it would be safe on my hard drive than a disc as my 2 childeren think its great to use them as frizzbee's so that they get damaged so if there is any hope at all in the world that you could help or guide me through recovery it would be very much appreciated.
With Thanks
