Ok, A couple of things to know. It the beehive is attached to your house at points where there access to the interior, the the hive may have spread into the walls or the attic. Bee hives left uchecked can get HUGE and actually start damaging you ceiling from the weight of it.

If you aren't opposed to killing them My suggestion is to get a wasp and hornet spray. Itacts like neuro toxin to them, killing them before they even get angry. And it sprays something like 27 feet. It creates a foggy cone so your aim does not need to be all that good. After that just knock it down with a broom.

I know there are more natural pesticides available, but this is one of those times where I choose not to play around. And since I cannot vouch for thier effectiveness, I will opt for the most toxic stuff around.

I think in Los Angeles there is a department of the city that will take care of bee problems for you. I think this has to do with the fear of Africanized bees in the area.

If all else fails, call an expert.

Thanks for answering my request. I have no problem killing them and I never knew that they could get into the walls of the house. What an awful thought! :)

It's mainly with bees, less so with wasps.

I came across this a few years back.

I would NEVER kill or destroy a behive. They deserve to live as much as any living creature. There are many alternatives to killing them. contact a local bee keeper they will come and remove the hive for nothing or a minimal fee.
