- If you are diabetic, monitor your sugar level for 2 days after surgery
- Do NOT apply ice-packs or a heating pad to skin overlying the liposuction areas
- Do NOT apply hydrogen peroxide or plastic Band-Aids to incision sites
- Start gentle fingertip massage (light kneading motion) to operated areas for 10-20 min., three times daily, for three to six weeks.
- Do NOT soak in a bath, Jacuzzi, swimming pool, or the ocean for at least 7 days after surgery in order to minimize the risk of infection
- Reduce your risk of fainting at home by: standing up slowly after urinating, remove compression garments slowly, have assistance for your first shower, and sit down if you feel dizzy or lightheaded.
You should compare your pictures before and after liposuction surgery to see the difference. The full recovery can take up to six months when you can see a more improved and more appealing yourself. Liposuction recovery period varies from person to person depending upon the treated area size but if you take the steps above you can be on road to a speedier liposuction recovery.
