A Review: Kids Sports Photography Business

'Kids Sports Photography Business' by JoAnne Westcott and Nicole Dean

Do you love kids and taking photos? If you're a parent who enjoys photography and spends a fair bit of time on the soccer field or in the hockey and are looking for a fun business idea you may want to consider a kids sports photography business.

When I first discovered the eGuide 'Kids Sports Photography Business' from JustAddSweat.com (Real Business Ideas for Real Women - they provide the inspiration and you provide the perspiration) I thought what cool and simple idea that could really turn decent profit!

My only concern though was could the average parent with no professional photography experience really be successful? It wasn't until I read the full course details that I understood how simple and successful the average Joe (with basic photography skills) could be at this cool home business idea!

This eGuide photography business kit not only gives practical step-by-step instruction but also valuable insight on approaching things with a photographic mind. The entire package is laid out in a very easy to understand and comprehensive manner.

The authors discuss how to go from having a basic knowledge of photography to gaining the skills needed to present a professional business offering a real service.

Included in the kit is information on how to get the skills you need to start a professional business, what training you'll need for a solid foundation as well as why you need professional equipment and how to go about getting business. The authors also explain how to create a plan and discuss time management tips. You'll also be given details on where to find events and what to charge; marketing tools and techniques; and information on setting up as a real business.

And if you want to take your business online you'll learn how to set up a website in addition to extra things you can do to expand your business. The ladies even include some helpful tips on what not to do.

One of the best things about this Kids Sports Photography Business eGuide is that it’s easy to read, understand and implement. All the information is practical and there are two great marketing techniques sure to get anyone going with new business.

The one area of the guide I feel could have been improved was photos of the types of poses or portraits that a typical Sports Photographer would take. If you’re new to photography having photos of different poses could be beneficial however, common sense will also take you along way in that regard.

The SweatStory Success Interview you get as a bonus with the package is a great source of inspiration and ideas for running a successful Kids Sports Photography business.

There's also an awesome appendix section which features a checklist of everything you need to set up your photography business. It includes what supplies you need and what you should bring to an event.

All together for a great price you get a 30-page eGuide, the SweatStory Success interview I mentioned earlier, and some great resources.

The best thing I found about this eGuide is that it inspires the confidence to get going on the type of business you've always dreamed of starting.

'Kids Sports Photography Business' is so useful and put together that even someone like myself who has never considered this as a business am seriously considering doing part-time now that I've previewed the course and am at the lacrosse arena and the baseball field a lot already.

This type of business would also be ideal for students trying to put themselves through college or university.

Judging from the quality of the photos posted I'm going to bet that you don't make much money by shooting.

It takes more than a pamphlet and a camera to make images worth selling.
