How to stop hair loss? How do your grow back your hair? With all the options out there, you may be wondering, which one is the best.

How to stop male hair loss: Propecia is a hair loss pill, which is approved by the FDA and is proven to be effective. In tests, 50% of men with mild hair loss experienced some regrowth in hair and the second half of men (okay, about 40%), expericed no further hair loss. One percent of men who used Propecia developed erictile disfunction. Keep in mind that if you stop taking Propecia, your regrown hair will fall back out. As such, once you start, don’t stop! Propecia is known as the hair loss treatment and although Rogaine is known tobe effective, it’s not proven to be as effective as Propecia. Another drug approved by the FDA is Rogaine, which comes in three liquid forms (liquid, foam, and gel). If you aren’t seeing any results with Propecia or its generic counterpart, Rogaine is worth a try. A lot of men use Rogaine and Propecia in unison for maximum results. Aside from Propecia and Rogaine, other known forms of growing back your hair include laser combs (specifically, the HairMax Laser Comb, which got FDA approval) and a hair transplant, which is very expensive. Anything, not mentioned here is not scientifically proven to work. Sure, they may work, but why risk spending years using an unproven product. Although this may surprise you, what you see in this one paragraph are your only proven options. You might read articles online about “how to stop hair loss naturally” or “how to stop hair loss and regrow new hair”, but fact is, all of this information is superfluous. Sure, there are different forms of the aforementioned treatments, but don’t waste your time reading grandma’s home remedy tips for hair regrowth.  Of course, you can also try getting a toupee, which is essentially a glued on wig. A lot of men who get toupees say that the hassle of a toupe is not worth it.

How to stop hair loss in women: Men are not the only hair loss sufferers. What’s a woman to do? If you hair is thinning (not the same thing as balding, in which your individual hair strands fall out), you can get volumizing shampoo and a moisterizer to go along with it. If your hair is falling out, Rogaine (a 2% concentration of minoxidil is approved by the FDA) is the only proven way of gaining back the hair for women as Propecia (the #1 hair loss solution for men), has not shown to be effective for women. Regardless, there are other treatments available, which your doctor can tell you about.

Before you buy any home less remedy, always carefully research it to see what it can actually do for you. Just going to the company’s website and listening to their commecials is not going to cut it. How to stop hair loss and regrow your hair? Make sure you know the product you are buying (AKA, not some hocus-pocus potion) and don’t expect any miracles.
