The mention of Shakespeare to most middle schoolers makes them cringe. Many times a student's first introduction to this literary giant is through Romeo & Juliet. If a teacher opts to use the original language it can often be like reading Greek. Students get overwhelmed with the language barrier and hence often struggle.
