Our lives can become very cluttered in a short time. If you do not pick up the mail everyday, before you know it you have a pile of papers. If you don’t do your laundry, you will hate to see dirty clothes lying around. With many chores to get done every week; grocery has to be bought and packed, food has to be cooked, washroom has to be cleaned and the home has to feel fresh, it is hard to find time to unclutter our minds.

If you feel you are overwhelmed by too much information, too many things to remember to get done, too many places to go, or too many bills to pay. Then your life is getting cluttered. When our minds are not clear to see important things that need our attention, we miss out on important things. We better slow down and examine our priorities. It will be helpful to make a list of things in each category that needs your attention and try doing one at a time. If you need some grocery, make a list of the things you need. In this way, you will not forget any important item, and will help to unburden your mind from remembering.

Try to decide how much time it will take to cook meals. Then try to do some small chores in between while the food is cooking, like packing kitchen shelves, so that you will not forget to monitor the stove. If you have bills to file or pack books, then get them over quickly as these just take a little bit of time. Then look at your list, and check how many you have finished and this will help you to feel more relieved that you get come things done. How about too many shoes, too many bags, too many clothes: Set up shelves or hangars to arrange them in the order you will need them or easy to access.

Not to mention, you will need time for yourself. Time to fix your hair, your nails, some facial cleansing and skin care. When you find time to get these little things done, you will feel so light and energetic not to be bogged down with little details in your mind. When the laundry is done, the washroom is clean and house smells fresh, we feel happy just by making a list of things and attempt them one at a time. In most cases, it will seem like a lot of little things clutter the mind, if we don’t take charge.
