here's another way: Do 1 life melee and do a small stage and keep doing that until he shows up!

To get young LInk you must first beat the sse first then on any diffucultiy beat classic mode then you will face him.

You beat SSE first, then go to The Forest and a new door will appear. It's near the very beginning. You have to fight him before he will join your team.

My friend and I have been trying for days now to get toon link. We finally beat subspace today. Killing Tabuu was tough. Anyway, we're trying to use Wolf on Normal to try and get toon link. If it works, I'll repost. If he doesn't work, we'll try using Ganon. Those are the two most possible ways, rather than doing 400 Brawl matches. F-that. ;/ I want my toon link now.

Success!!! We got toon link while beating classic with Wolf. It works. You have to beat subspace first. As for the guy that asked how to ge to Tabuu... I was about 84% done when we got to him here. If you open the map and it shows a bumch of bowser faces floating everywhere, you have to basically go through the whole place again and find doors you might have missed. You'll be fighting doubles and so forth. Enjoy.
Dark Link, fo you remember where there was a door being blocked by a bunch of characters, or trophies. You have to go ahead and take al ook at those bcause those are the characters that you're going to be fighting all over again. I think my last ones today were Luigi, Pikachu, and Mr. Game & Watch. It's not as tough as it seems. Although some words of advise, when you go to fight Tabuu, make sure to dodge a lot. I used Meta Night, his up A attack is huge when it comes to damage. Then I used Pit, Ganondorf, mario, Samus, and sonic. I beat hin with Samus. ;D Took me 11 tries, but I did it. ;/.. Oh well. ENJOY.

Dude, you guys have to beat Subspace Emmissary 100%, then go back to "The Forest" and go right until you see a door within 10 seconds of walking, enter the door, go fight Toon Link, then you got em... It took me for friggin ever... Beating SE was soo friggin annoying it's not even funny. But yeah, that's what you have to do.

Ok, for WOLF: go to the place "The Ruins" in SSE, the one where you had PokeTrainer and lucas...i think, anyway...remember the part with the crystals sticking out the sides? you go through them, and then theres a platform that goes down. (NOT THE 3 THE REQUIRES SWITCHES) have the lift take you down to the first door...but SKIP THAT DOOR. it will go lower and it will eventually disappear. there is a door at the bottom right when you get there. wolf is in there.

as for jigglypuff, i think you need to complete 20 EVENT matches. thats how i did it. It was after SSE was beaten though. They dont even have to be in order!
I encoutered Toon Link after beating Classic Mode with R.O.B. in Normal Difficulty. No continues. I had just beaten Subspace Emissary before this.

I just beat SSE it's at I think like 78% at the moment but I cacked Tabuu or what's his name, then I went back to the forst picking Link, Zelda, Gannondorf and I think Pit, right at the beginging after you take on the first wave of baddies you go through a door that wasn't there before. It will be the first door you see before you go past any trees and there was where I had to beat Toon Link
Ive beated classic mode with link on easy and hard but wat i want to know is that is SUB SPACE EMISSIONARY one part of the story mode because once you enter the (FRUSTRATING) "GREAT MAZE" it is only called subspace.

You have to have beat sse then classic mode with link.
Ok. You have to beat all of the subspace Emissary first, then you go back to where you first play as Link in that mode, and go through whatever doors you see until you run into Toon Link.
I beat classic w/ link before beating SSE and did not get to fight toon link. Then I beat SSE (79%) and then went into classic mode with link and was able to fight (and beat) toon link. I'm 99% sure thats what you have to do.

I just got toon link, its simple. all you have to do is beat subspace emissionary, no you dont need 100% you just got to finish the whole story line, once you beat it goto the forest and there willbe a new floating door not too far from the beginning of the level

To get toon link you can either:
1. Meet him in subspace emmisary after beating the game.
2. Beat subspace emmisary, and then do classic mode with link on any difficulty.
I suggest you find him in subspace emmisary, because then you get to choose who you fight him with, he's pretty hard. For me atleast. Not everyone is good at link...

i got toon link by using 12 characters in classic and the twelvth caracter was falco so you just have to beat sse then use 12 characters in classic then use anyone to fight him

Toon link, Wolf, and jiggly puff are the last 3 characters you can unlock. you have to unlock everybody else first. The beat classic on Hard with link

I don't think you have to be Link in particular. It says on Smash bros. dojo "After completing the Subspace Emissary, beat classic mode." I'm pretty sure you don't HAVE to be Link, but you can if you want, i guess.

To unlock toon link, u must only go to this door in forest and beat him :P.To unlcok Ganondorf, u must get zelda and link, when all characters are changed to figures. Next u must defeat Ganondorf ;-)
all you have to do is beat tabuu then beat classic on normal then it will say "new challenger approaching",beat him and you get him

I unlocked Toon Link yesterday. We played 400 brawls. Easiest way. Just go to special brawl, set your enemies stamina on 1 and put a flower above them. That way you don't do any work. Also make sure your stamina is at 300. This should work if you do it enough. Also you can do this with Wolf.

You need to beat Supspace Emissary first. Then you have two choices:
1. Go back to Subspace Emissary and do the first level. Enter the first RED door you see. Then beat Toon Link
2. Beat classic with link on any difficulty with any amount of lives. Then it will say: CHALLENGER APPROACHING!! and you fight Toon Link. If you win you get him.

to unlock toon link: you need to beat subspace emmisary and go on hard mode and defeat hard mode with any charcter then toon link will appear :) bye bye

Ihave 68% done on my sse.
Today I got 71% done on my sse.I stuck on the great maze.I filled all the way around but now I dont know what to do.I trying to unlock toon link but I cant finish my sse.On classic I beat it on normal with link on easy I beat it with zelda and shiek and on hard I beat it with ganondorf.But still no toon link.Ihave 200 brawls but I dont feel like going up to 400.I know a easy way to get extra brawls fast.All you do is go to special Brawl then when your picking your powers the first one you put down stamina.Then the third one you give them a flower on there head.You go to okay.In the character selection pick your character and put the computer on random.Go to the computer difficulty.Put 1 or puny.Then go to stamina on the computer put 1.Hit start select your stage and it says go game.It counts as you winning a brawl and keep doing that to get more brawls.
I just beat my sse about 1 hour ago.Then I unlocked toon link he is awsome. Has the same power as link.Now im on jiggly puff.
I just unlocked jiggly puff.He was easy to unlock now im going to unlock wolf.
I unlocked wolf yesterday.He was easy.I beat toon link with link I beat wolf and jiggly puff with ganondorf.After beating sse it was a snap unlocking things.I unlocked every single character I also beat every event 1~41.The 41th event was realy hard and after beating it you just get a trophie.

I beet subspace last night, and have NOT beaten classic as luigi or link, instead I beat it with pokemon trainer, and it brought toon link as a challenger.
I won, and now he's unlocked.
to get him toon link beat subspace and play classic as any legend of zelda character on any difficulty. i got him on easy with shiek
if u guys want toon link, heres a way, it may take a while
brawl with u and a random cpu, then when the match starts run off the edge,and if u cant go off the edge put yourself on 1hp and keep doing it it takes 400 brawls but u also get hte benefit of unlocking other charachters

Beat subspace then go back to The Forest, (Toon Link) The Swamp, (Jigglypuff) and The Ruins (Wolf) to find hidden doors on your "crown" file. That is the easy way. Hard way:
Ness: Reflect 10 projectiles
Marth: Complete Classic Mode
Luigi: Same as Marth, but no continues
Falco: Complete 100-Man Brawl
Captain Falcon: Complete Classic Mode on normal or higher in 12 minutes or less
Lucario: Clear Target Smash on all levels
Snake: Brawl 15 times on Shadow Moses Island
R.O.B.: Collect 250 different trophies
Ganondorf: Complete Classic Mode on Hard with Link or Zelda
Mr. Game & Watch: Clear Target Smash with 30 characters

Well I know the dude who made SSBB! Yes I ve beat the game got every body including toon link !Heres what to do: First defeat Sub Space emmisary next play classic with link Then Destroy toon link
after beating subspace emissary,
1) remember the floating platform in the forest near the beggining? go back and there will be a door on the platform, go in it and get ready to fight toon link!
2) beat classic mode on ANY mode but ONLY with link (also with any stock lives) and after that a chalenger approaches hwo is it? toon link! get ready to face him this way.
OR
3)(you do not have to beat subspace emissary before doing this task) play 400 brawls. after this task is done,a challenger approaches, (again)its toon link! beat him this way and all of your worries about toon link will be gone!
this is all the info i can give out about toon link, but if i know another way say that your one hundred percent sure that i will tell all of you!

GUYS ITS SIMPLE, IVE BEATEN THE GAME ON INTENCE MODE AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GO TO THE FOREST AND GO IN THE FLOATING DOAR(THATS TO GET HIM ON YOUR SUB SPACE TEAM) BUT I HAD HIM ALREADY BY DOIN CLASSIC MODE ON HARD DIFFICULTY THEN BEATING HIM SO ITS NOT THAT HARD.
