Electronic cigarettes are easy to use, but sometimes questions come up that may stump even a veteran gadget freak.  Luckily, there are products like blu electronic cigarettes that make the "vapin'" experience easier than one would hope for.  The starter pack comes with clear instructions, but since most folks don't take the time to read the instructions, here are a few pointers and how-tos.

The first thing you want to do when your Blu electronic cigarettes arrive is carefully open the packaging on a flat surface and lay out all the stuff that's inside.  Once you do this, you should have the following:

• One patented Blu cigarette case
• One battery with an atomizer screwed into it (this will look like a full cigarette with filter)
• One USB charger to which a battery is attached
• One Wall charger - comes in two parts, a black square with wall prongs and a connector with a normal circular plug end and a USB type end which plugs into the square.
• One extra battery
• One owner's manual, please read it!
• One "quick start" card

I know you'll be excited to use your new blu cig, but the first thing you want to do is set up your pack so it will charge.  To do this, take the full cig apart by unscrewing the cartridge (filter end) and setting that aside.  Open your blu pack and turn the battery you've got in your hand over so the metallic shiny end is pointing down.  Slide the battery into the second hole from the right, and screw it in until the light on the side of your blu pack begins to glow.  That light may glow steadily for a few moments, or it may begin to flash.  Either way, this lighting tells you that the pack, and the battery within, have begun to charge.

Here's the hard part - let the pack and battery charge up fully before you even sneak a puff! This will allow the battery to start off at it's best, and give it a point to work from memory, which believe it or not, batteries have.  Once your battery and pack are fully charged, you're ready for the next step, and just a few minutes away from vapin' the night away.

Accompanying your starter kit will be a smaller box which contains your flavor cartridges in (hopefully!) the nicotine level and flavors you selected when you made your order.  Pick your first cartridge and set it next to your blu box, then take your atomizer off of the battery it came attached to and go to your sink.  Trust me on this!

Your atomizer is self-cleaning, meaning that when it is activated it will heat up and burn off the liquid present on it, or most of the liquid anyway.  Before you begin to use your blu e-cig, you will want to run very very hot water over the atomizer to rinse off the primer (an oily substance that keeps the atomizer clean during shipping and storage) so your first cartridge will taste it's best.

Dry the atomizer by blotting it with a cloth and then blowing through the bottom hole a few times to get any lingering water out of it.  Let it sit and dry for a few minutes, then come back to it.  Take your dry atomizer and screw it firmly into your freshly charged battery, then pick up your first cartridge and hold it with the open end up.  Slide the tip of the atomizer into the cartridge, and push the two together until the cartridge clicks into place and the tip of the blu cigarette lights up.  You should hear a blowing sound, which means the atomizer has fired a little, which is perfectly normal.

Now lift that bad boy to your lips and take a slow drag, immediately blowing out the vapor you get.  This warms up the atomizer a little, and your second drag will be fuller.

Congratulations, you've assembled and begun using your blu electronic cigarette!

Along the way while you're setting up your blu for the first time you may encounter some minor setbacks.  Here are some quick tips to help you along:

• Read all the instructions provided with the starter kit.
• Make sure you screw your battery into the second hole from the right while the blu logo is facing you.
• When your pack is done charging, unscrew the battery that is inside! This is very important, as forgetting to remove it will result in the pack's failsafe draining the battery.
• If you think you are missing anything from your starter kit, double check that pieces didn't fall on the floor when you started pulling things out.  The batteries and atomizer are packaged separately from the chargers, and WILL fall out and roll around if you are not careful.
• In the event that something IS missing, please call customer service at 1(888)-207-4588.  Have your order number handy, and be clear and specific about the items which are missing.
• The pack takes roughly two hours to charge on it's own, and no lights will flash to indicate it's charge.
  

The process of changing your cartridge is pretty simple.  If you're holding to the same flavor, then pop the old cartridge off and throw it away, take out a new cartridge and snap it over the atomizer.

While it's still simple to change from one flavor to another, there's an extra step in changing your cartridges that will help the flavor stay true from one to the next, and that is to rinse the atomizer.  Following the same method as described above, rinse your atomizer off completely and dry it before reassembling your blu electronic cigarette with your new cartridge.
