How to use a iPod in Linux
70As a Linux user, one thing i always miss is a good program like iTunes to manage my iPod Nano. So, for lack of alternatives when I wanted to update my ipod music library, or simply edit something, i was obliged to restart my PC in windows (shame on me).
A few days ago i decided lose 5 minutes of my time and look for a tool that at least give me the power to add and delete songs on my iPod. I have found gtkpod, this small package offers a varied list of features, including add and extract music, podcast and video iPod, view and edit playlists and information of songs, among many more. You can check full list here.
To install just open a console and type: sudo apt-get install gtkpod. (very simple don't you think? (= )
Off course i have to admit that this tool does not offer the functionality and effectiveness that iTunes offers, but it is a good option when you need to update your iPod and don't have a iTunes near ;)
