Web 2.0: Killer Social Networking Secrets To Exploding Your Customer Database From Traffic 2.0 Toolkit
How social networking determines your business success or failure...in other words how to do social netwoking so that it finally sinks in.
Do you see how it relates to pretty much everything in your life? After all, the state of your business is just a representative of what's going on in your head at any given moment.
Well, as I look around at what people are and aren't doing with their social networking and entire business for that matter.
Let me explain...
How do you approach your social networking?
-
Are you someone who set up a bunch of social networking accounts months ago and haven't touched it since?
- Where else has this shown up in your business?
- Are you someone who hasa bunch of half-finished information products or books sitting on your desk?
- Maybe you finished them yet youhaven't put up the sales letter or did any other marketingso you're not actually making any money off of them.
So, what does any of this have to do with social networking?
It is all about habit, you've simply wasted time without anything to show for it. You're not
making any money with your social networking nor are you making any money selling products.
- Are you someone who does your social networking in bursts?
You ignore it for weeks, then for a couple of days you're on it in a frenzy, only to go back to ignoring it or you only jump on and do anything on it when you're feeling stressed about cash flow and lack of clients.
So where else does this show up in your business?
- Are you someone who sends out an email newsletter once in a blue moon?
- Do you only pick up the phone to follow up when you'redesperate for new clients?
With this habit, while it's good you're doing something, you're only going to see consistent results when you're consistently doing your marketing tasks.
Communicating with people once in a while and/or only when you're looking for something (i.e. for them to give you money) is an excellent way to have a feast-or-famine business model.
- Are you someone who is pretty good on one socialnetworking platform but doesn't do anything on any otherone?
For example: You love Facebook but your Twitter account sits there unloved and you pretty much never update your blog, never mind anything else.
So where else does this show up in your business?
- Are yousomeone who's really good at going to live networking eventsand collecting business cards but doesn't follow up?
- Maybe you send out an email newsletter fairly regularly yet you don't do anything else with the articles you write foryour newsletter (although you keep meaning to).
- Perhaps you don't use any other methods to touch your prospects (i.e.direct mail or teleclasses.) You're getting part of it right yet if you followed an entire system you would see far moreresults.
In many cases, it's not about you doing more, it's got more to do with simply having a system and a team in place to support you so you get the biggest bang for your marketing time.
Now, this isn't about making you feeling guilty about what you are or aren't doing. Its about looking at one piece of your business and using what you see there to make your whole business more successful....make sense?
Case Study: Part 1 - How to turn any static website into an interactive profit spitting money machine?
We're talking about detailed social marketing strategies that work without spending on advertising.
So, you'd effectively choose to focus your efforts in the most powerfulest way...
In that's the interactive web 2.0 fun way!
Your choice!
Bear in mind the end results are for targeted traffic for better overall conversions.
(i.e; you want bigger profits that's the name of this game, of course there are other alternatives, not...
Oh yeah, assuming you're using a business profit model, your goal is for more interactive customers.
As you may or my not know, the search engines like Google are constantly changing their algorithms.
The current shift tends to 'fit' the sites that closely behave like you would when doing a search.
You'd want to easily find what you're looking for when you do a search, right?
Let me explain!
In this case sudy we'll use motorcycles, only because I love racing supersports bikes.
It's probably best to look at a few example to really illustrate this point.
Let's say you're into racing motorcycles, like me.
Okay, so you've decided to build a blog or site that's covering the "Motorcycles" niche.
You'd build your blog/site on content and information
your visitor search for and want to find...
Obviously you'd want to go one step further and choose the same keywords your vistors search for to write articles around these hot topics relevant to this niche.
For example:
racing motorcycles, supersports motorcycles, racing motorcycle accessories, and the list goes on.
Now if your site is a "standalone" site, the info and content is not linked to any other blog or site.
And your blog/site isn't link to other related niches.
If your site is tightly targeted and built around the related niche keywords, then it most likely should be indexed.
What if you decided to expand the conversation and reach of your blog / site?
Imagine what would happen if your blog / site started to cover the whole motorcycle racing industry.
Okay, so you go for it and create another site with related articles and keywords relevant to Motorcycles.
For example:
Now you get savvy and build an authority site, so this really hits the traffic bulls eye!
You're focusing on getting quality targeted visitors.
Your site now covers multiple niches all related to your main industry (motorcycles) including topics:
* Supersports Motorcycles
* Race Motorcycles
* Motorcycle Racing Equipment
Each topic is a Category that falls under your main segment ("motorcycles").
* You site is built around relevant keyword content with Navigation menu
* Deep internal linking with Cross linking
* Link-backs to the Landing page with your site and your other related sites.
This is in the eyes of search engines an authority site, simply because it's well structured.
More importantly because your site provides useful information and original content your site delivers a better overall user experience on motorcycles.
Your site's landing page is also linked to all of your other sites do you have complete coverage of the motorcycle industry...
* All the content and information is always relevant in terms of topic and category.
In other words if a visitor goes to your landing page for the search term motorcycle leather jacket, that's what they get.
The page is specific to that topic, the content and information isn't discussing motorcycle engines.
* You provide information your visitors are likely to look for...
You give your site a tightly focused theme with more coverage and overall search engine indexing weight.
