I have been always telling everyone that if you want to make plenty of money online, it is better to sell a product than a service. Say, you are writing hubpages (or blog posts) and how many hubs do you think you can write on a single day? Five, Six or even ten - your earnings are directly proportional to the amount of time and efforts that you spend on writing hubs or blog articles.

If you publish an ebook with the same written material and market it wisely, even if you set the price of your ebook as just $5, with a 20 downloads, you could easily make $100 without even waiting for the adsense revenue to hit the $100 threshold.

I am not telling you to stop writing with Hubpages, please continue to write your hubs and publish them as you usually do. If you are clever, then you will now that ebook writing is not some rocket science. If you can write a hub, you can very well write an ebook. Ebooks could be of even 10 pages in length (with a double spacing) and the content is what makes it sell. So, believe that you can write ebooks, you will be able to write ebooks.

There are two models on how you can write and market ebooks. Provide free content and attract plenty of traffic back to your HubPages (1) or write exclusive content filled ebooks and sell it for a price (2). Though I have used both the techniques, I am in favour of writing ebooks with exclusive content and sell it for a price. When you setup the ebook selling system and do a bit of initial marketing, you can always make at least 10 sales. Based on the testimonials given by the readers, you can always sell plenty from then on and expect a sizeable number of sales every day. Your job is done, the you can go on to write another ebook and your portfolio of ebooks will grow and so do your cash flow.

1. Provide Free ebooks; Get more traffic to your hubs

In this method, you are not going to write any thing new. You have already written few articles and quality hubs with HubPages or Helium. Just copy all the text and publish your articles as an ebook. You are doing nothing wrong in doing this, because your copying your own work and package it in different format (No duplicate content penaly with pdf ebooks). You will actually get more benefits by detaching your content in a freely distributable media. There is no cost involved in publishing ebooks, if you have OpenOffice, you can save your word document as .pdf files with all the html links and hubpages linkbacks.

I will tell you how it works. You publish your free ebooks with content directories such eSnips, Scribd, Slideshare etc with a linkback to your HubPages profile. If your ebook presents quality content, it will spread across the internet like a wildfire. People will surely share the ebooks, will upload, give it to their friends and so on. Result? You will get plenty of new visitors which will translate into more adsense revenue (based on traffic to your HubPages). You can always set options while publishing your pdf ebook such that no one can edit or copy content from it.

Always include a short profile note, with a linkback to some of your best hubpages on the same topic, so people will come back to your hubpages for more. If you are a service provider, your potential customers will know where to find you based on the linkback that you include in every ebook.

2.Write ebooks and sell them

This is another successful method based on fishing (Yes, catching fish). In fishing, it is normal to use small fishes as baits to catch big fishes. In the same way, publish your free content at HubPages, write the more advanced, elaborate content as an ebook and sell it for a nominal price. There are some ebook directories and forums that allow you to list and sell your ebook for free. You pay a commission only when your ebook sells. Beware, there are plenty of sites that charge you to list your ebook which I would not recommend. You may earn your first few sales through the free ebook directories and then with those investment, you can list in more directories.

Warrior Forums is one such directory where you can list and sell your ebook. You upload your pdf file with a small thumbnail image, set the price and provide your paypal username. The Warrior Forum acts as a mediator (seller) for your ebook and you need to pay 20% commission on every sale. You can set your ebook price as you wish and when you make the first $30, you can withdraw your money. You need to pay that 20% commission on a monthly basis. I have let out one of my secrets now (Am I not nice?).

If you are planning big, you can create your own ebook site and set an automated system that will accept payments (paypal and credit card). You will know how exactly to do this in a bonus free ebook.

As usual, I have just outlined an idea (an eye-opener of some sort) to write your own ebooks and market them to bring in more money and/or more traffic. It is up to you to go out and practise these methods. I must tell you it is not going to be a cakewalk without some help. Because, there are trillions and trillions of ebooks floating on the internet. Not every ebook sells. So, if you want to sell your ebook, it is a whole different game than just writing. But, the results would be fruitful if you succeed in creating a market plan to sell your ebook. There are forums and tools using which you can sell your ebook copies and automated systems that sell your ebook and get the payment from customers without your presence. You can just set it and forget it and do all the things that you love doing as the cash will flow to your bank account.
