How Women Can Get Rock Solid Abs
59Great Abs, Is it too late?
If you have given up on trying to attain great abs and don't mind the pudgy rolls around your mid-section, then stop reading now. On the other hand, if you still dream of having the perfect six pack then read on. At what age should you stop trying - 30, 40, 50? Are you ever too old?
Women have an especially hard time maintaining that perfect figure. Childbirth can be especially brutal on the midsection. High stess levels and high calorie diets also add to the buldge, but there is still hope. Excessive fat around the belly is such a common occurance these days that some doctors have described it as being centrally obese. For women with a waist measurement of more than 35 inches you are considered to have central obesity. You'll never guess who fell into this category. If you guessed Blingwithoutching, ding ding ding, yeap that's right, me. There are millions of americans who want a thinner waist and a leaner profile, but just don't quite know how to go about. So, what's the secret to losing those buldging "Love Handles"? I found myself several diets and exercise plans later still with a pudge that wasn't going anywhere. So, what's a girl to do?
- The first step is Don't give up! Your goal is attainable.
- Be consistent.
- Get a plan that works for you.
I was able to trim several inches from my waist by using a daily routine. This, if followed, will help you to get in shape in no time.
- Speed walk daily for 30 minutes
- Do and abdominal routine with torso rotations, crunches, and pelvic tilts of 20 each 4 times a week. Gradually increase by 10 each week until you reach 50. A basic crunch will strengthen the top half of of the abdomen. Side crunches and the bicycle crunches work to tighten the sides of your waist.
- Another trick I use is to sleep on my stomach (sounds weird but works)
- I hired a personal trainer once who instructed me that seated torso turns whle using an exercise ball will flatten and firm the bottom of the stomach.
- I hold in my stomach throughout the day which helps to tone my abs
I was told by my doctor that reducing abdominal fat will reduce the risk of many preventable diseases, and that belly fat is not only unhealthy, but toxic also. It can elevate the risk of strokes, breast and colon cancer, back pain, and heart disease.
You can have fabulous abs as long as adbominal exercises are included in your fitness plan. Exercise does not have to be boring, try incorporating dancing or swimming once or twice a week into your fitness plan. Believe me you will feel better, look better, and live better.
So, Get moving today - Good Luck!
