What Are The Best Natural Cures For Yeast Infection

Do You Suffer From A Yeast Infection? Yeast Infection Symptoms

Having a yeast infection can be extremely inconvenient, not to mention embarrassing. Yeast infections, moreover, do not affect only the genital area, but can be present in many different areas of the body, including the armpits, under the breast, and anywhere that yeasts can thrive in the moist and dark environments that they are accustomed to. Yeast infections also need specific medical regimens in order to correct and expunge. If you know what a yeast infection looks like, you will be able to determine the best possible remedy for your affliction, and you will be able to ascertain if you should go to your doctor for a checkup. Bloating, anal itching, indigestion, heartburn, asthma, multiple allergies, craving carbohydrates and sugars, acne, cysts, hives, earaches, vaginitis, headaches, poor memory, mental and emotional problems.

These are the main symptoms of yeast infection and they often occur. Usually, these symptoms are present simultaneously.

However, not all itching and burning sensations are indicative of a yeast infection. It is for this reason that people are advised not to self-diagnose and self-treat, and instead go to the doctor for a suitable treatment regimen. A doctor can also better trace the cause of the yeast infection. In general, a yeast infection occurs because the body's normal pH level is disrupted, which, in turn, is caused by the destruction of certain good bacteria that function to keep the levels of yeast low. This can occur due to overuse or abuse of antibiotics, whether oral or topical.

A yeast infection, moreover, has many different symptoms along with the itching and burning sensations. If the yeast infection occurs in the female genital area, the vagina can be extremely dry, because yeasts keep the body from producing moisture that keeps its external membranous areas moist. Vaginal yeast infections, moreover, can make sexual intercourse more painful; it can also make urination feel like burning between one's legs. Women afflicted with yeast infections will also emit a discharge that appears like curdled milk, with a faint yellow to white color. This discharge will smell like beer or bread, and, in general, like the yeast that is used to brew beer and bake bread, although this yeast species is different from the infectious kind.

Yeas Infection In Men - Symptoms

It is a common notion that women are the only ones prone to yeast infection. However, cases show that this is not at all true. Both men and women may have it, especially those heterosexual couples who do not practice protected sex.

Candida albicans, and other types of yeast, can develop and grow in the vagina, rectum, or mouth. At times, yeast-like organisms, which are not necessarily forms of sexually-transmitted infections may grow in the vagina but this can be due to some system imbalances. Yeast infection is the second most common type of vaginal infection. With this percentage, it makes men with partners all the more prone to having it as well.

Men get yeast infections the same way that women do. There are some differences, however, in terms of the likelihood that it will occur based on some causes.

The following are the primary causes of penile yeast infections:

  • Sexual transmission. Yeast infection is considered as a sexually-transmitted disease. A woman who has it can infect her partner through sexual intercourse, especially with unprotected sex.
  • Antiobiotics. Prolonged use of certain antiobiotics has been proven to cause penile yeast infection, as they get rid of certain good bacteria that inhabit the crotch, which are later on replaced by yeasts.
  • Diabetes. Those who are diabetic are said to be more prone. This is primarily because the high sugar levels in the urine serves as good food for yeasts.
  • Nonoxynol-9. Use of condoms with nonoxynol-9 added to the lubricant may likewise lead to yeast infections.

Not all men having penile yeast infection may show symptoms. However, those who do have them complain about how awful the symptoms can really get. Here are some of them:

  • Soreness and irritation of the head of the penis.
  • Discharge of a pasty, white secretion.
  • Blisters and other itchy reddish bumps on the head of the penis.
  • Smell of yeast.

As soon as these kinds of symptoms are detected, it is always best to consult a doctor for immediate treatment. There are over-the-counter medications but, of course, it is safe not to self-medicate when there are some of the mentioned symptoms. A medical professional's advice is still the best one, especially that some of the symptoms are similar to the symptoms of other diseases.

Probiotics

Probiotics are a popular natural remedy for yeast infection Probiotics are live microbial organisms that are naturally present in the digestive tract and vagina. There are bacteria whose only job is to eat yeast. There are also enzymes whose only job is to eat cellulose and hemicellulose, which is part of the cell wall of candida. By combining these two the candida dies. Why? The enzymes eat thru the cell wall, the bacteria then eat the inner lipoprotein membranes. The candida dies..
