How To Become A Witch
62How To Become A Witch
Is actually very easy.
You are a witch as soon as you choose to call yourself one.
Many claim to be, or think you have to be "born a witch".
No-one is 'born' a witch.
People may be born into a family that has generations of witches. Which means that they are positively disposed and open to the concept of witchcraft.
And the teaching would be passed down through the family.
For those that have not had that formative experience, it's important to take on board that there is ABSOLUTELY NO BARRIER to you with practicing witchcraft.
Or rather - the only barrier is yourself and your own attitude to it.
So what are the key elements of being a witch?
A true witch - or white witch is someone who works with the energies of the Universe and Nature.
Who operates with an open and loving heart.
Who wants to do good in her/his own life, and in the lives of others who give permission for them to act on their behalf (the power is always with casting spells for yourself as opposed to paying other's to cast for you - as your energy is most powerful in attracting what you want)
A true witch and white witch is able to believe that what she wants to have happen will.
And knows this with a certainty.
She/He is flexible and adaptable - and whilst with witchcraft there are many wonderful tools and rituals. They're able to flex into the moment, and if they are passing a beach and feel the urge to cast a spell there and then - can and will do so.
How to become a witch could be shrouded with mystery - and witches do love their mystery (and it has also been needed for survival from those that do not fully understand or are ill informed about the craft, it's workings and teachings).
Many people ask me 'How to start?'
The answer to that is simply START.
Start by working with spells. Pick a spell that you are drawn to. And then work with yourself to move yourself into that place inside where you truly believe and feel certaint that what you want to have happen will.
A powerful witch is able to see, feel, and essentially put themselves into a space where they feel as if they have what they want already...
And so it becomes.
The foundation of witchcraft is Like Attracts Like.
So to be a witch you are able to work on the energy you put out so that you attract back what you want.
And this is based on bringing joy to your life and never at any time seek to harm or get revenge with another.
As a witch you can then decide how you work best with magick.
Remember too that just about every culture and religion through the ages had their own form of 'witch'. In some cultures it is called "medicine woman/man" or "shaman" or "seer"...
It is always about remembering to work with the Universal energies and nature. And that in every moment - waking and sleeping you are actually creating your outcomes.
So if you choose to move towards witchcraft and become a witch (or you may prefer the word 'magickal practitioner' - it is your call) then it is about working on yourself to open your heart and to feel love, faith and trust in yourself & life.
Like attracts Like

We can all become a practicing witch if we so desire - it is not something someone is born to be and someone else is not.
It is a conscious choice and it is someone who wants to work with the energies of the universe and nature to consciously create positive outcomes for themselves and those that give them perrmission to do so.
It is always more powerful to cast a spell for yourself as opposed to paying or being paid to do so for someone else.

i was brought up with a ability to know things people cant even began to understand..how can someone sit there and say some one is not born a "witch". everyone on my moms side of the family is one they have the sixth sense.not anyone can become a so called "witch" if you dont have the ability right away whats the point? you cant scry because only some people have that ability NOT ALL.dont sit here trying to sell things to people and make them believe anyone can do it because its a lie. this gift is not to be taken lightly. and i am completely bothered by this website.
I am sorry to hear you are bothered Crash.
The principals of true witchcraft and also wicca is to not believe we are more or less than another (better or not so than another).
To believe in exclusivity because you are 'born' to something someone else is not - goes against the fundamentals for the craft.
It is indeed true for families to pass down skills to family members - what that says is that there is an openness within your family environment to things magickally related.
You you were in effect 'given permission' and indeed encouraged to allow your talents to flourish.
We ALL have such talents. Unfortunately many do not also come from an environment where that is valued or encouraged. So if they feel an interest in it - they then look to be taught.
Though importantly any witch, at any level of experience is learning. If she/he feels they know everything or are 'more' than another - it actually identifies that they are not coming from an open hearted loving place. They are not working with the energies of the universe. They are instead within ego.
It is unfortunate to read of people that feel that they are 'better' than another because they are 'born' into it.
ANYONE can learn. And experienced witch is still learning. Witchcraft is accessible to anyone and everyone. Those that feel it is not - are coming from scarcity & ego. The Universe & nature within that is based on love and abundance.
I am glad you value your gift, I encourage you to also open your heart and allow that gift to truly florish to it's full extent. As without love, generosity & respect for others as well as yourself - it never will reach the heights it can.

Spells are supposed to be used as a last resort not something you toy with. You can't do spells on yourself that is considered personal gain. Witch's religion is not just based on spells it is based on nature and the devine and celebrating Sabbats and Esbats.
Hi KH,
I am not sure where you have gotten your information from. There seems to be a lot of fear there, with how you talk - which is NOT what witchcraft is, in any way, shape or form.
To clarify - spells can be used at any time. The key is that you do not divine against another's free will - which means that you try to make them do what you want.
"Personal Gain" is pop witchcraft from such fictional series as Charmed (which also is a lot of fun).
Witchcraft is based on consciously creating and it works with nature and the energies of the universe to create the outcomes you desire. The universe is based on a loving energy - of growth, renewal and abundance.
Fear is based on scarcity, not having, anger, 'putting a stop to' etc.
There is nothing written in pagan texts about not creating a fulfilling, loving, abundant life. And based on the principal of like attracts like - it needs to come from within. To have an open, loving heart, and a view of abundance as opposed to scarcity.
There are indeed many wonderful pagan celebrations. And also it is worth noting that witchcraft and wicca are two separate entities.
They are complementary as in you can be both.
And there are many wiccans who are not witches. And many witches who are not wiccans. You see in fact every culture through the ages of man, have had some form of witchcraft - they may call it a different name. Essentially it is based on working with the energies of the universe to consciously create (and always respecting others free will).
The forms of 'magic' that are dark, ill intended and look to make people do as you wish - are in fact not true forms of The Craft - and are certainly not something we engage with.
I hope that gives you some more schooling. I encourage you to do some research - both into Wicca (more than just reading one book or website) and also into Witchcraft.
And know that any true witch always knows she/he is learning, as to think we know it all, or have all the answers is ego - which comes from fear, not from love.

hi i think this website is cool but its not ALL to do with spells
You are spot on - spells is one part of the whole :-)
so basically anyone can be a "witch" or follow in those practices.
well to be able to use the spells do you have to be a witch?
and do they work based upon your own belief?
Absoutely! :-)
You can cast spells and call yourself a witch if that feels right for you. You can cast spells and choose not to identify with the label of witch if that is better for you.
Witchcraft is based on conscious creation.
Many of the processes I see at Personal Development/Self Help seminars/books are effectively spells (a spell is not just about lines on a piece of paper that you say out loud - they come in many forms).
Witchcraft and spell work is about working with the energies of the universe, based on the principal of like attracts like and putting out for what you want to have happen, to come into being. And how your energy is aligned when you do this (are you focusing with certainty on what you want; or are you full of hope or longing aka it might not happen) will depend on the result.
And anyone can get themselves into the space/place of being successful with their spell work.

Blessings Arabella,
What would your recommendation be to beging the practice of witchcraft. I have beeb reading some very helpfull book about natural magick, and have performed a spell already on my own. Last night I created another spell written and created by me, using the knowledge I have already gain from some sources.
I do meditation and I am working on focusing and visualization which it isn't easy to do, but I do my best. I feel that I actually belong to this path simply because I am a nature lover, I've felt for quiet some time that nature calls me and have this strong feeling to be around nature. For me that was my calling to this path. Is there anything else you could advise me? I've never felt so sure of anything in my life a I feel about this. Blessings!
Hi Darien,
Without being facetious, I'd say simply start - as you have begun to :-)
So keep reading - do not stop at one book. Keep spell casting - ALWAYS with the same intent - a positive, open loving heart, respecting the free will of others and focusing on what you do want to the point of feeling certainty it will happen.
I do offer a course - which I am sure you are aware of :-) you can subscribe to the newsletter and receive three free spells, and some more information on witchcraft.
It is a great start that you feel right about it - so keep on exploring. I am but one teacher. So you find a teacher that YOU feel an affinity with and learn, learn, learn and most importantly put it into positive action.

Hi, I was wondering how you would go about increasing my phsycic abilities?
since i was a kid i always wanted to be a witch, i want to try a spell but i dont know how to. i have always feel like i have the ability and i have always feel like i got many energies. some times i can prevent the future, like when someone is going to died, or when some one is bad. but im so dont know how to start being a witch.
i was wandering if you could tell me what is a waxed moon i'm doing this spell (tring a spell) and it says to do when theres a waxed moon does mean full moon?
Hi Seeker,
I suggest you contact one of the paranormal or clairvoyency societies. Witchcraft is a different field based on conscious creation, as opposed to seeing the future.
BB
Arabella
Hi John,
If you read through this hub you will see many suggestions on how to start practicing witchcraft and what it actually entails.
Options to do so are of course my course. Or you can go to somewhere like Amazon and buy some books on the topic there. The key is to make the decision to start and do so :-)
As for preventing 'bad' things from happening. The most important tenet with witchcraft is to NEVER divine against another's free will. That is why with witchcraft you consciously create positive outcomes for yourself (without at another's expense) or for those that give you permission to assist them.
BB
Arabella
Hi Krysten,
A moon is waxing as it is growing bigger (culminating in the full moon).
A waning moon is when it is getting smaller (and becomes the new moon).

i am very interested in witch craft and casting spells but my spells never work. i would also like to be able to move things with my mind as ive read thats apart of witch craft but how do i do this. its ok saying just start, but start where?
Hi Roz,
The key with spell casting is to focus on what you DO want, NOT on your current unwanted 'reality'. That is the only reason why a spell may not work - because the focus is actually on it not happening, or focusing on the current situation.
Even waiting to see if a spell works, denotes that the focus is on that it might not - and so it becomes.
So the power comes in having complete and utter faith and trust to the point of knowing - that the spell will work...and so it becomes!

Hi to both Rin and "someone who believes",
It is our policy to respect the right of parents to choose what their children will and will not be exposed to until they come of age (18).
There is a lot of misunderstanding and misinformation about The Craft, and we trust that those that are genuinely interested will explore it further and decide for themselves when they are over 18 and completely entitled to make their own choices.
BB
Arabella
this might not be true but i really want know doreal witches have powers and if so how do they get them?
how do u make your own spells?
I really like this show called CHARMED and it inspired me about witches and thats how I got these ?s
Hi Heather,
We ALL have powers and the ability to switch them on. Contrary to some beliefs, you are not born a witch - instead you may have generations of practicing witches in your family history - so therefore you are born with an openness to learning The Craft.
And anyone can learn the skills of practicing magick.
Charmed is a fun series, and one I personally enjoy watching. It is entertainment and a lot of the content is fantasy. AND they also have consulting witches, so as not to stray too far away when referring to some of the magickal practices.
You can easily make your own spells - that tends to come with experience and confidence. To begin with it is often good to cast spells that you obtain for yourself. You can receive three free ones if you sign up to my newsletter - so that is an option, depending on whether it's right for you or not.
I want to leave you with the knowledge that witchcraft is a very real entity - the key things are that true witchcraft comes from an open hearted, loving space, working with the energies of the universe with a principal of 'an harm ye none'. And it is something to be treated with respect and at the same time is open to new comers (with the right intent).
BB

There are certainly spells for most things. And I do happen to know that yes there are spells for both of those issues :-)

i want to be a witch but my brother says that it's a sin to be a witch is that true
Hi Sabrina,
I am thinking that both you and your brothers understanding of what a 'witch' is, is infact not what the reality is.
Witchcraft is a form of magickal practitioning - all cultures - ancient & modern have some form of it. It might be called being a witch, a shaman, a witch doctor, a healer and so forth.
Witchcraft and Witches work with the energies of the Universe to consciously create. True witchcraft comes from an open hearted, loving space, and follows the belief of 'an harm ye none' - it very much has a 'live and let live' approach.
There are Christian witches, just as there are Pagan witches. Many witches may not call themselves that - they may say they are magickal practitioners - it is completely up to the individual.
The key thing to know - and this is where there has been so much misinformation - is that it is about working WITH the natural universal energies and it is NEVER about casting a spell on another, or wishing another harm, or trying to manipulat behavior of another - it is about respecting another's right to free will.
I hope that gives you a better understanding of what witchcraft and witches are.
BB
Arabella
how would i be a good witch because i am lust a starter and i don't know all of the stuff so if you can talk to me go on my address ashleys94@yahoo.con
Hi Ashley,
True witches are good witches - as you practice magick from an open hearted loving space, and believe in the principal 'an harm ye none' and do not spell cast to manipulate anothers free will.
Witchcraft works with the energies of the universe to consciously create positive magick in your own life and the lives of people who give you permission to assist them.
Blessings

Does appearance really matter. do you have to wear black all the time and stay away from the sun to get pale and always wear huge jewelry?
what is the youngest age you can start becoming a witch?
How can u practice magick? i really want to become a witch because i love nature and our world
Blessings!
Hi Freddy,
I wonder if you are over 18?
We do not engage with those under 18 without parental permission - as a sign of respect to parents having the right to choose what their children will and will not be exposed to.
The 'witches' you refer to are story book/fantasy witches. The only reason to wear black is if you feel like it from a fashion sense, like every other person on this planet. And the sun and jewelry comments are not applicable to the reality of witches/witchcraft.
I suggest you read through the various hubs I have created - as that will give you more of an idea of what witchcraft is truly about - and how practical and real it is (and positive & loving).
And then if you are under 18, I suggest you either seek your parent's permission or wait until you come of age.

Arabella
hi i was wondering... does this really work? i myself have always wanted to be a witch but i was to afraid. but now that i know theres nothing wrong about it i want to become one. has any of your spells ever worked?
thank you,
wonder
Hi Tasha,
Short answer is: Yes & Yes
Yes it works and yes my spells work for me.
The key to Witchcraft is always the Spell Caster ie: YOU. It is about being willing to believe with absolute certainty that what you want to have happen will - and feel those feelings as if you have it already. And have your energy and focus on what you DO want, not on what you don't.
Many people think a simple wiggle of the nose or casting of the spell will make it happen. It can (the latter) if you are aligned energetically to begin with - for most people it is about consciously choosing to get into that energetic alignment and making the decision to believe with certainty it will work.
If you doubt, wonder, hope etc - it wont work - as your focus is actually on the not having...

Hey, how can I completely clear my mind of all the negative thoughts? I've tried to empty my mind before but I get distracted really easily and am always thinking aout something:S
Now, I've heard lot's of complete bs about witchcraft and stuff, but do i need to chant stuff in order for a spell to work, or can I just say the words in my head?
Hello
i really want to be able to do spells i can do tarot cards i am a beginner at the moment but i would like to become a witch a do healing spells and more how can i achieve this ?
x
and so it becomes.Hi Alfreddy - you never cast a spell on another person - bottom line. To do so will invoke the Rule of Three and you will attract back something three times in magnitude of the wrong doing to going against another's free will. You can cast a spell for something you wish for in your life. And always remember - the key ingredient in any spell is you - and your decision to believe to the point of certainty that what you are casting for will happen - and so it becomes.
BB
Arabella
Hi Dee,
Simply put - clearing your mind is a decision you make. It's not something that is beyond your control and 'bigger' than you. It's simply a choice you make. And when you make that choice, trust and relax into it - your mind will become clearer - because you are focused on breathing deeply and calmly into your breath.
Not all spells require chants.

I have just started to look into it because there is no contraversy in my family about it anymore, my husband believed that witchcraft was like the charmed shows and many other witch movies but I finally convinced him that it wasnt so.

Thank you Miko for your lovely feedback :-)
hi arabella! your site is amazing and i have learned so many things today. I am under-aged (13 going on 14) and do not wish to wait until i am 18. I am afraid of telling my parents of my desire of becoming a witch and do not wish to seek their permission. (unless i change my mind). The thought of becoming a witch and practicing witchcraft has been on my mind for a while. I think that it is beautiful to do good things with nature and cast spells. I too was inspired by the show series CHARMED and was wondering can witches fight against demons to help Earth be a better place. Is there a rule book of things that we are not allowed to do (like casting a spell on another person)? and i am a bit afraid but very eager to begin the practice of witchcraft and my biggest desire is to help people (maybe including myself) and to move things with my mind or discover a specialty that i have (which i might not know about) - btw how do i do that?
thank you for your time and hope you answer my questions. =)
Hi Sophia,
Your post is full of beautiful energy. And I respect yo are keen to learn witchcraft.
Because you are under 18, I am afraid we can not support you right now in achieving that - as we do respect a parent's right to discern what their children will be exposed to, until those children come of age.
Charmed is a wonderful, fun show. And they do consult with real witchest. AND there is a huge fantasy element as well.
Real witches do not fight against demons.
Real witches work with the energies of the universe to consciously create positive outcomes for themselves (taking responsibility that your life is what you make of it for yourself) and also for those that give them permission to assist them.
It is not a case of 'hocus pocus' - the most important element is your ability to focus on what you do want and believe it will happen no matter what - and so it becomes!
Witchcraft is based on love and giving. Not fear and taking. It works on the principal of Like attracts Like.
By all means keep your interest in The Craft, and when you do come of age, I encourage you to choose a teacher who is grounded and does not lead you to believe anything other than witchcraft is based working with the positive energies of nature/the universe and comes from a core of love.

If you become a witch, how will you know if it has worked? and will you get specil powers? Because i have always wanted to become a witch and wannted powers to bring good to others!
Hi Wanna Wich,
It doesn't work that way. We all have 'special powers' - it is about knowing that and activating them. And a successful witch/magickal practitioner never needs to ask the question of knowing if it has worked or not.
As they know that THEY are the determining factor - as the success of a spell comes down to you, and your ability to believe to the point of certainty that what you are asking for will happen - and so it becomes.
This certainty is always the biggest hurdle and brings the biggest joy when we can feel that.
BB
Arabella
Hi Arabella
I am considering to pay a good spellcaster for a love spell but I am not sure if this is the right decision- I understand everyone has a free will but is casting a spell on a particular person wrong? How do I know the spell will be geniune?
Thank you.
Hi, I've read most of the comments above and there is some conlict on whether you are born a witch or if you can start learning.
I was not 'born' a witch and do not practice to this day but I feel drawn towards it and would like to start practicing the craft. Where is the best place to start? Are you better of working alone or as a coven?
Also is there such a thing as glamour? Where you can change parts of your appearance?
In need of some advice!!!
Hi L K,
I always recommend that you cast a spell for yourself. And I am saying this knowing I could make a lot of money offering to cast spells for others.
And I would not be in keeping with my integrity if I did.
As YOU are the most powerful person to cast a spell for YOURSELF.
And yes you must NEVER cast a spell to make another love you, or to do anything that goes against their free will (right to choose for themselves).
You will invoke the Rule of Three - so you will attract something back to you in three times in magnitude of your wrong doing. This is not pleasant to say the least!
And if someone is posing as a 'witch' and offers to do this - they are not a true witch and instead are taking you into a dark and negative area.
True magick and witchcraft comes from an open hearted, loving place and it is about respecting the right of others to have free will, whilst consciously creating for yourself.

my whole life ive always had a eye for being a witch but how do you really know, something happend to me back in 2005 my grandmother died but i knew before it happend like some force of energy just told me that something bad was going to happen its crazy, my 14th birthday, and three days later she was gone,it wasnt the first, i also had a dream when i was about 15 about the lady next door she came in from checking the mailbox and just died as soon as she closed the door, i told my mom she didnt believe me until a week later when thats how they found her, what does it mean, im i really seeing these things in my sleep or am i just letting my mind get ahead of me?
so are you saying that witch craft isnt fake? & that it dose exist? i have red heaps of books about witchcraft and salem & things like that! And btw is a cultĀ a witch? =]
Hi Jezkah,
Well what we practice is certainly very real! :-)
True witchcraft comes from a loving, open hearted space and works with the energies of the universe to consciously create good for yourself and others that give you express permission to do so.
Witchcraft is not a cult. It is a belief system and practice.

hey what is black magic
how to become a good wjtch?
Hello
I feel really weird asking this, but how does someone know if being a "witch" is really for them? i mean once you've began the whole witchcraft thing is it just as easy to quit it?
I've always been really interested in witchcraft but i guess i have some fears about it. According to my mum (i'm 18 by the way) i've always been sensitive or whatever, and as a baby i would see and talk to things which no one else could see.. now as i've grown older i still see and feel things that others don't or i have weird dreams i say dreams, more oftenly nightmares. I guess i'm saying all this because i don't know what it means or whether it actually means anything at all.
Anyways i'm rambling.. i'll get to my point now [= Can a person without realising it cause any damage to another person or their enviroment by performing a spell? I guess thats the only thing that stops me, or the thought of unleashing something which could be classed as evil.. I know these thoughts are probably just stupid and immature, does evil magic actually exist?
Sorry i ask loads of pointless questions. It's just reading books only tells you so much, and the more books you read the different views you get, as one book says one thing and different books say another.
Hi Arabella,
The way you talk and express your ideas are superb in every respect. A reader does not feel like he is reading texts but feels like he's watching a movie. Your answers are so vivid! - a real and authentic testimony to your being a witch. I am convinced witches exist and so the crafts. I am not being ironic here but your answers are the true reflections your witchcrafts. Can you help me become one too. But, I am a male in my late twenties! Is it possible to start at this age?
Hi Soha,
In our community we do not acknowledge "Black Magic" because it is not true witchcraft. True witchcraft is white witchcraft and is based on coming from an open loving heart and working with the energies of the universe to consciously create your desired outcomes.

Hi Andrea,
To become a good witch is as simple as a choice you make. And true witchcraft comes from an open loving heart - as I say above. So it is about you drawing on that beautiful energy and power.
And also being positive and well meaning in your intentions.

And if you read my answers above - you will see a common theme - that you spell cast with an open, loving heart.
My sense is that your intentions are pure :-)

Well I began my path in Wicca shortly after watching Charmed ( I know that might sound weird, but I interpreted it as a calling.) Anyway when I lived back in the town where I was living almost every spell I cast worked. I started my own Book of Shadows. I even practiced a few rituals with 3 of my best friends and as the time went by we had our own BOS. The bad thing is that I was only good with spells, I couldn’t brew potion , but my spells worked. Anyway last December we moved back to Brazil because of my dad’s job, after living in central Illinois for 2 years. Since we moved back I feel as if my “powers” have been slowly taken away from me. I definitely felt “Unwitched” after I sent my BOS to my friends in the US.
The reason why I sent it to them is because I wanted to start a Book of Shadows on my own. Seeing that I would “travel” alone. From March to July I tried not to practice magic. Well I would try to cast spells sometimes but memories of my friends would come to my mind and I would fall into tears. A few days ago I noticed that it was full moon, so I opened my new BOS and began to imagine how wonderful it would be if I started writing my spells again and even try to make potions. I walked up to my window and cast a Rain Spell…I truly believed in it! After casting the spell I cast another one praying to the moon to charge my spell and give me a sign that I was meant to be a witch.
The NEXT DAY I woke up and saw that it was cloudy outside… it might have rained a bit during night. I was so happy…I guess that I was given the sign I asked for and maybe I’m destined for great things with Magick. :D
Now that I told u a bit about myself I would like to ask you…do u have any tips to give me to help me with my potion brewing// other things related to magic and if u know any good websites that I could visit for some extra info.
Ps: Books will be very hard to find because my dad only goes to the states in every 3 months. So I would appreciate if u could recommend good websites.
Thanks
Blessed it Be
Bruno
Hi Bruno,
I am glad to hear you like what you read :-)
I want to offer a couple of thoughts to you:
a) We can all successfully practice witchcraft and call ourselves a witch if we so choose. There is no 'meant to be' - it is about what feels right for you.
b) Your feeling that by moving meant your powers might have diminished is more about you believing they may have. We are ALWAYS powerful - it is just that often we may not draw on that power because we get caught up in our emotions or beliefs about a situation.
AND it sounds like you are reconnecting with your own internal power which is wonderful.
Regarding potions - it is such a huge field - I suggest that you find some spells that tell you about the ingredients you need. As it is all about what each ingredient means and how they work with each other.
The most popular forms of magick today are in fact candle magick and magick using oils and botannicals. As a lot of the old form 'potions' call for ingredients from ancient times that are no longer available.
There are oils you can mix for specific results in specific spells.
I hope this gives you some more things to think about - and keep practicing! Always with an open, loving heart.

I realy want to become a whitch I have the imagination for it.When I was little I believed I was a mermaid and almost killed my self .Like that my dreams were crush and I always wished to be some thing different but I have tried too to so many spells even simple ones but none of them have worked what do I do I cant stand to be normal
I was born on Halloween and always believed that I could be a witch. That is my depest desire in life
Hey I was woundering do they really work, how do you know they have worked and how long do they take to take effect?
HI Emma,
You know a spell has worked when you have the result you spell cast for.
Time is something that you do not put as an edict - as if you are worried about when - then you are more than likely focusing on what you do not want - so therefore you recreate more of that.
The key to witchcraft is to cast the spell with absolute certainty in your heart that what you want to have happen will - and you let go of any fears, doubts, waiting, timing etc. You just know it's going to happen - and so it becomes.

Hello,i was wondering if you could tell me of a good spell to start with or where i can get one ??
hi, im 16 and was wondering if becoming a witch is dangerous? my parents are christian and want nothing to do with this but im really interested. this whole thing is fasinating! i'd like to have the same powers Page had in charmed, how can i get them?
i have no idea how to do a spell !!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Laquita,
Witchcraft is not dangerous. However you are 16, and we have a policy to only accept people in our community over the age of 18. The reason being that there is this fear and misconception about magick and The Craft. And we support parents deciding what will be right for their children, even if they hold these views, until they come of age and are legally entitled to decide for themselves.

Hi, I am new too witchcraft and stuff like that, but I'm still learning, so... And I was wondering, could you cast a spell (with good intentions) on someone else? Suppose I've got a friend, and he is changed very much (in a negative way). Can I cast a spell on him to change him back like the one he used to be? Or is that wrong? And my second question is, are there spells to change something about yourself?
Thanks a lot!
Hi, I dont have words to express how much i would like to learn more about the old religion...A couple days ago I felt this tug inside of me wanting to learn more about Witchcraft. And this feeling has been growing and growing. I was wondering if you could help me learn about simple day to day magic. I felt so intriged that I read a full book about the Old Ways in one day...and in this book it said how the author was born in to a family on magical practitioners. And how her mom taught her how to do simple things. For example, her mom told her that spirits lived inside plants and flowers and that to invoke them you simply inhale the scent from that plant/flower and call their name so I was wondering if you could guide me to a web site that explains those things.

I usually keep losing things and I use spells to get back lost objects but whenever my mother uses such spells they go unaffected and she never finds lost objects using spells. I can cast many spells successfully but my parents cant do so. What may be the reason???...Am i a born witch???..If yes then why do the spells casted by my parents dont work???
Hi Liez,
You must never cast a spell on another or for another without their express request for you to do so.
There is no way around it. To go against another's free will is simply put, wrong, and it will invoke the Rule of Three, and you will attract back negativity three times in magnitude.
And yes there are spells that you can cast to change something about yourself - and as always the key to success is to believe to the point of absolute certainty that what you are casting for will happen.

Hi Ash,
No one is born a witch. We ALL have the ability to be successful with magick and witchcraft. And we all have an equal right to call ourselves a witch, if that feels right for ourselves.
Why your spells would be working on your parents are not - is because YOU are aligned energetically. So you believe and feel and know they will work.
Whereas your parents want them to work, and hope they will. So their energy is not truly aligned.
As the art is to let go and have absolute certainty without attachment that what you desire will happen. And so it becomes.

i go to a place where i believe but i practice the same spell over and over again but it wont work
Hi Nikki,
When you do truly believe, to the point of knowing - the spell will work. Wanting to believe and thinking you believe are great steps forward. And you would not be asking the question about it not working - if you did truly know it would. As time is irrelevant - it will happen.

It's one thing to be a witch practicioner, but another to be a witch. And I use the term witch lightly. Sure everyone can believe they are a witch and try a spell but hardly anyone has true powers. Power to read minds, to heal without using anything else, to see ghosts all without using a spell...the list goes on. To say I wasn't born a witch is completely false. I was destined to be a witch because my past lives had powers. If everyone has them then why aren't we born with them?
Spells are awesome and all but spells aren't for everything. And there is no bad witchcraft? I'm sorry, what about harming someone, casting a spell against someone's will. Truth spells, love spells are against the very things we're taught to believe in. Witchcraft can be very dangerous, but you have to have real power first. Yes, humans have a natural energy but not many have true talent. I don't know maybe I'm wrong...but I seriously doubt all of you have the power to do something without a spell.
Thanks Kristine for taking the time to share your views.
I guess our community of magickal practitioners do not need to have that feeling that we are better or more powerful than another. We see the results we receive through our spell work. And we teach and guide people to use true magick that comes from an open hearted, loving place.
There are indeed those that do need to feel that they are 'more special' or 'talented' than another - that is not a dynamic we choose to engage with, as it goes against our belief system.
The true magick we know is available to anyone, there is no danger to a practitioner, the key is to know how to turn on the 'switch' that is available to each and every one of us.
Harming another and going against free will is NOT witchcraft - as true witchcraft is white witchcraft.
Our actions, our beliefs are all reflections of ourselves. So someone who partakes in something that hurts another is doing so as they themselves are very hurt. They misdiagnose that if they are to extract revenge or retribution they will feel better. Instead they harm themselves more. it becomes a viscious cycle that has nothing really to do with magick, but rather with someone's mental & emotional state.
By all means you are entitled to your opinion, we most certainly can not support the opinion of superiority, as that to us is not what witchcraft is about, it is instead the need of the human ego. We do support your right to believe in whatever you wish to :-)
