Make Money With Your Hubs
So how do you make money with these simple, easy to build web pages called hubs? Is it possible? Well I'm sure that you may have heard that people were doing it.
Of course it is possible. There are more than one ways to make money using hubpages. You can choose to make money using one of these methods or all of them.
Personally, I use hubs for making fun lenses like my Foreign Film hub and my Video Uploads hub and also for raking in the moolah with my promotional hubs like this one for Site Rubix Website Builder.
From what I know, there are 3 ways to make money with hubpages.
Adsense Earning Tip
1. Adsense
You can earn money from your hubs when people click on the adsense ads that are on your hub. The way money is made is Google will pay each publisher (website owner) close to half the revenue generated when the ads are clicked on. That means Google is paying the owner of hubpages money to display the ads on this site.
To help build the hubpages community, Hubpages will share that revenue with you if you have an adsense account. If you don't have one you can apply for one from Google. It costs nothing and is easy to set up.
After you have set up your adsense account, you can then edit your hubpages account info so that you can get credited for the ad clicks on your hubs.
Earn Even More With Hubpages
When you have done setting up your hubs to make money, you can earn even more by inviting more people to hubpages to create hubs.
Hubpages will give you a special link that you can use to get people to sign up. When you successfully sign up others you will earn 10% of what their hubs generate from impressions (how often the hub is shown).
You can learn more by clicking on the tab at the bottom of the page where it says 'Affiliates'.
2. Ebay and Amazon Modules
This works similar to Adsense. You would sign up with ebay and Amazon to promote their products and they will give you a unique id, much like the adsense one. Edit your affiliate settings and you are ready to go.
When you do a hub you can add an ebay capsule to include products related to your hub. For example, for a hub about the new movie Transformers, you can add ebay stuff your visitors may be interested in such as Transformers TShirts and add some dvds and games from Amazon.
3. Affiliate Marketing
Well why did I leave this for last? Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn money from your hubs. Come to think of it, earning from ebay and amazon are affiliate earnings not to forget that hubpages also has an affiliate program.
I use this method to earn money every month. There are people making a living just by doing affiliate marketing.
The way it works is you sign up with websites that have affiliate programs and they give you a special link to send people to their website. Whenever someone that you sent to their website purchases something, you will earn a percentage or flat rate on the product ranging from some cents to a couple hundred dollars.
You can add your affiliate links related to your hubs and earn money when people visit the affiliate website. Clickbank is a popular network where you can find these sites. You can sign up for free and they pay you every two weeks.
In the photo to the right you will see a screenshot of some of my affiliate earnings. $710 in 15 days! This was all made promoting affiliate programs using hubpages and another popular network.
Hubpages and One Week Marketing
Fellow Wealthy Affiliate Jennifer Ledbetter aka Pot Pie Girl has a great step by step plan that uses another site but works just as effectively with Hubpages. The plan is so simple to follow that it has been responsible for the success of many aspiring internet marketers as I've witnessed on the Wealthy Affiliate Forum.
I own a copy of this plan and I've used a similar plan myself so I know it works. The plan is based on Jennifer's own step by step method she uses herself to generate a full time income online. She definitely knows what she is talking about and is highly respected in the internet marketing / make money online community.

when you edit your hub, highlight the word that you want to use as a link and click the chain looking thingy on the editor. A little box pops up for you to add the code - just paste it in there.

Well if you keep doing hubs and they have evergreen content and are properly optimized for the search engine then your adsense income will grow over time. I'm now up to $10.00 a day average with Adsense. A few months ago it was about $3 -$4/day.
I agree, it takes time to get to the level of getting good income of one site per day, but time and effort always pays off! so keep going and never give up. its a good way to earn money from hubpages but that really need experiance and enough knoledege of internet marketing.i were just get to know about a great thing.that some of newly launched social bookmarking sites are sharing its revenue with users .www.zhooom.com is one of the site who share 100% revenue with the users.thats a good way as you can earn money just for submitting your faveriote news,articel,vedio etc you dont need to have specific information.
and if you have your own site or blog you can also get some good traffic and can earn good money also not from this site but also from the users comes to your website as most of users are from south asia which dont hestisite clicking on ads.

Am I correct, that Clickbank requires a $50 "activation fee"? Also, where do I get the products that I'm supposed to be pitching? I'm probably misunderstanding but Clickbank makes it sound like you have to provide the product?

Sarah Lynn, Clickbank doesn't require any money to get started as an affiliate. Make sure you're signing up as an affiliate and not a publisher. Publishers are the product owners who the affiliates help promote. As an affiliate its free to sign up and you can get products to promote in the Marketplace. Hope this helps.

If you do it right, you should earn more money from promoting affiliate programs with your hubs than from Adsense, eBay and Amazon combined.

I've had 3500 views from my heavily monetized hubs and so far I've made about .38 cents total (adsense, amazon, cj) I wish I knew what I was doing wrong if you are making hundreds a day.
Actually 3500 views on 18 hubs isn't a lot. How many views do you get daily? Another thing I didn't mention is that I have about 6 hubpages accounts with more hubs.

If i connect hub pages to my adsense account, does that mean they will get a share of my money no matter where i get it?
No, if you connect hubpages to your Adsense account then YOU will get a share of THEIR money as long as the clicks come from any of your hubs.
They won't get any of the money you earn elsewhere eg. the money you earn from your own blog is YOUR money - no one shares that.

Hmmm...I should have mentioned this in the article. Ok, here goes...
1. Adsense - Any earnings you get from Adsense ads are paid to you by Google. They will send a check to the address you mention in your Google Adsense Account. I get a check from Google every month so I can tell you that they pay on time, every time.
2. Amazon will also send you a check or if you prefer gift certificates.
3. I don't use Ebay but I'm guessing you get paid by check also.
4. Affiliate Programs - If you use Clickbank, you will get paid twice per month by Clickbank check and they always pay on time, every time without delay. Clickbank also offers weekly direct deposits if you qualify. To qualify for Clickbank direct deposits you will have to first receive 3 paper checks.
You will get paid by check for any other affiliate network you choose to work with. Some offer direct deposits and some even pay via paypal. Independent affiliate program owners also pay via check and paypal. Check the program you're working with to see what their payment schedule and details are like.
These ways of monetizing any website are pretty common. Why is this different on a "Hubpage"?

Sign up for Hubpages and apply through Hubpages. Just give them http://hubpages.com and you would be fine.
brilliant...I never though of adding clickbank hoplinks in hubs .... I always make lame websites or blogs and try to hype the item on those... I will have to try writing a few hubs with pure intent on marketing an affiliate item.
Although it seems more and more that ezine marketing and collecting emails is the way to go now days.

I've never made an awful lot of headway with Clickbank - I have a hard time promoting products heavily that I haven't tested and tried. Don't know though, maybe I should revisit and look through the products again.
My personal favorite is and has been adsense as it can be really easy to get up and earning a bit.
Amazon unfortunately has pulled the plug on North Carolina affiliates due to sales tax law language making affiliates the same as having a brick and mortar location within the state - I had done okay with amazon in the past until that.

Wonderful hub, packed with information. Since I do a lot of writing on the same topic myself, I'm always looking for quality hubs to link to. I make the bulk of my money off Ad Sense, but from my blog site. I use the hubs as a springboard to send traffic where I can earn 100% of the ad revenue.
Like one of the comments above, I didn't do well on Clickbank, but maybe I'll start pushing those affiliate links again after reading your hub. I also tried Click2Sell, but got a little impatient, then stumbled onto HubPages not long after. Click2Sell might be good for those wanting to try promoting their own product, but don't want to pay Clickbank's activation fee. They work like Clickbank, but there is NO FEE TO MERCHANTS OR AFFILIATES, which I thought was pretty cool. Are you really make money from hubpages with google and affiliate networks, i wonder because i am using huboages since 8 months and nothing earned from it.. Your hub looks interesting to read but is it realy to earn.

Without a doubt...YES! You don't have to check this hub but try searching for some of my other hubs on Google and you'll see that most of them come up on the first page if not #1.
Try searching "Buzz Cuts CD" (without quotes) for example. That is a hub where I made $1400 last year selling a $26.00 Cd with only $2.60 commissions per cd. Thats a lot of units moved and I'm #1 for that term. Its not my most successful hub though.
I have other accounts on Hubpages as well. I make about $300/ month with Adsense alone. This hub wasn't set up primarily to earn but more to inform.
The key is to make commercial hubs while staying within the guidelines of Hubpages. You also need to follow basic SEO principles as well so that your hub ranks well and earns a constant stream of visitors.
If you're not currently doing this then that is most likely the reason you are failing.

Two things ~ When I went to the link (both the book and the written link) at the end of your article for "The Hub Pages Cash Machine", it says the link/site has expired?
Also, when I read your Hub, it sounded like if you sign up with Adsense directly, you get paid about 50% of what the advertiser pays Adsense...but, if you sign up to Adsense through HubPages, HubPages gets half of your half? Did I read this wrong?

Anyways, here's how the adsense thing works:
It doesn't matter how you sign up, if you do it through Hubpages or directly, the adsense account is yours and you can do whatever you want with it. You can go the direct route and put adsense on your own websites and blogs and earn half of what the advertiser pays Google. (Follow carefully now)
When you write your hubs, you get a lot of benefits from using Hubpages such as quick indexing, built in backlinks, a high ranking position in Google (if you do good SEO on your hubs) to get some of Hubpages traffic. You still get half of what the advertiser paid Google BUT half the time Hubpages will display their own adsense id on your hubs so they get paid too.
This is because this is Hubpages' site and you get to use it for free. So its only fair. Its better too because if you were to do the same thing with your own site it would take far more effort and time.

Hey Everyone... I purchased "Hubpages Cash Machine" and have followed the steps in the guide. I repeated the process 3 times and none of my hubs are near the first page of google... can anyone tell me what I am missing? Also, I went to download the other "bonuses" that were to come with it, but now the website doesn't exist... I think that your article is excellent, but I am not so sure about "Hubpages Cash Machine"

Galaxy2012 - reason for that is you need to find keywords that people are searching for and put them in the title of your hub. For example, your hub on "shopping online site" would be better if it was called "Benefits of Shopping Online" or even better if it was called "the benefits of shopping on the internet".
You can use Google Keyword Tool - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExter to find keywords people are searching for. Make sure the keyword you use has three or more words as its easier to get traffic for those kinds of keywords.
