It is important to understand that Sony didn't make it simple for their PSP enthusiasts, such as yourself, to put videos on PSP. However, the process isn't really that complicated. First of all, it is important that you remember that video files are huge files. So, get a memory stick for your PSP that has a lot of memory or storage capacity. If you stick with the standard 32 MB memory stick, you can't expect that it can get you good quality and long playing videos. So, try getting a memory stick with larger capacity. It is recommended that you get at least a half gigabyte or 512 MB. This will be able to let you store more videos or store a larger video.

Currently, a PSP 1 GB memory stick may cost you roughly around 30 dollars. If you want a larger capacity memory stick for your PSP, you can also go for 4 GB. A brand new one may more or less cost you around 70 dollars. You will also need a USB data cable for your PSP. This will serve as the connection between your computer and your PSP.

You may also want to consider having a fast internet connection. Dial-up connection may work but if you want to download larger video files, dial-up internet connection will never cut it. It is too slow and it may take hours or even days to weeks to download a full length movie. So, get a high speed internet connection.

Now that you have all the things needed, you are now ready to get some videos to your PSP.

The first step is by connecting the PSP to your computer by using the PSP USB data cable. Make sure that your PSP is turned off when you do this. Once the connection has been made, switch the PSP on.

The second step is by opening the My Computer window on your computer. Here, you will notice that there will be an extra volume attached aside from your hard drive and CD/DVD drive. This is your PSP or your PlayStation Portable

The third step is by opening the PSP volume and then open a folder named PSP. Once you do this, you will notice that there will be four subfolders named Games, Photo, Music, and Saveddata. Create another folder named MP_ROOT and open the newly created folder. Once you do this, create another folder named 100MNV01. In this folder you will put all the videos you plan on downloading to your PSP.

The last step is downloading some MP4 videos from the internet and copy the downloaded video to your PSP. After this, you will now be able to enjoy watching all your favorite videos and movies right in your PSP
