The plastic parts of the helmet can be cleaned simply by dipping a cotton swab in cool water, and wiping these portions. The inner lining can be treated by a neutral cleaning agent.
The rest of the ensemble is mostly made up of leather items, which too need to be cleaned often through washing or by using a nylon brush followed by leather conditioner.
In taking a little bit of extra effort and care in maintaining and properly polishing and storing of your protective biking gear, you can save on expenses as well as ensure safety.
