Have you ever tried to find a hard to find item, but can't

There are a few items I've been looking to buy, but when I look online, I can't find them for sale. So, I've been looking for a way to watch multiple classified listing sites like eBay, Craigslist, and many others without having to go to the site every day.

I think I've found a way to watch multiple places without actually going there. I use Google Reader to read most of the blogs I follow through RSS feeds. So all I need is a way to make one big RSS feed from all the sources, create a category in my RSS Reader for the feed, and then to check the folder each day as I read my daily blogs.

So I made a Yahoo Pipe of RSS searches for products across eBay, Craigslist, and many other classified sites. To make the RSS feeds all you have to do is search on each of the sites for the item you want and then click the RSS feed for the search. As new items come up, they get placed in the feed. I then put each feed in a fetch capsule from yahoo pipes. I could have put them directly in my RSS Reader, but Yahoo Pipes has filters that I may want to tweak in the future. I then took the master feed from Yahoo Pipes and put it my reader. Now, all I need to do is check my reader everyday and one day I'll find the items in there. I'm sure.
