Just in a couple of weeks.
The first thing you can improve is your setup.
How can I improve my setup?
I'm glad you asked. Luckily the setup is the easiest thing to improve.
It can be your setup that needs to be corrected if you experience any of the following conditions:
- A nagging or unpredictable slice and hook.
- Often hit behind the ball.
- Often hit the top of the ball (top the ball) .
There are two possibilities that have occurred.
1. Your setup allows these "mistakes" to happen.
2. You have adjusted or changed your setup or swing sometime down the road to compensate for a problem you have. You have made your swing complicated and that's not something you want.
What do you suggest?
Try this setup:
1. Feet's are a shoulder length apart.
2. The toe of your left foot should be pointing straight out. No pointing to the left.
3. The ball should be in the middle of your feet's.
4. Knees are not locked but close to locked.
5. Your back is straight
6. Your chest should be out as well. (This might feel awkward but it's supposed to feel that way).
7. Concentrate on a straight back and spine.
8. Hold the club straight in front of you. Extend your arms as far as you can. Now move the club down close to your belly button, still parallel to the ground.
9. Bend over at the hips until your club touches the ground. Remember to only use your hips to get down.
10. This is your setup. (look at the picture)
The setup is just a small part of the golf swing. There are 4 other major parts of the golf swing.
