Chocolate Rum Fondue
Ingredients :
- 8 oz (225 g) dark or semisweet baking chocolate
- 1/3 cup (85 ml) whipping cream
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) rum
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) orange juice
- 3 mandarin oranges, segmented
- 2 apples, cored and sliced
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 8 oz (225 g) can pineapple pieces, drained
- ½ lemon
Procedure :
- Melt chocolate, broken into pieces, with cream, rum and orange juice in a fondue dish on a heatproof bowl over pan of hot water. Keep warm.
- Arrange pieces of fruit decoratively in a bowl with small wooden forks or cocktail sticks. Squeeze lemon over fruit to preserve color.
- Allow guest to dip the fruit of their choice into chocolate rum sauce. Alternatively, serve fondue with ladyfingers.
Makes 6 servings.
