How to Make a Tasty Cinnamon Topping for Toast
68Have you ever prepared to sit down and enjoy breakfast with a cup of coffee and some toast only to discover that the jar of jam or honey from the refrigerator is empty – the children having finished it and then returned the empty jar to the refrigerator?
Take heart. Simply by mixing some sugar and cinnamon together you can make a tasty toping to replace the jam on your toast.
You can either mix up a batch to last a few days or just enough for the morning's toast as follows:
In a cup or small bowl ( I like to use a small plastic bowl with a cover) use ½ cup of sugar for a batch or a tablespoon of sugar for each piece of toast. Sprinkle cinnamon over the sugar and mix. Add more cinnamon until you get the taste you desire. I like cinnamon, so I usually add and mix the cinnamon until the mixture is a dark tan.
Sprinkle on your toast and enjoy.
