How to Quickly Level Fishing Skill in World of Warcraft

Fishing is more important in World of Warcraft than most players think. Some of the best and most useful food in the game can be made by cooking certain kinds of high level fish, and of course there are a variety of alchemy recipes that rely on certain kinds of fish, such as the oily blackmouth.

Leveling fishing is not difficult, but it does require some patience and just a little bit of knowledge. Fishing is a skill that should be leveled in much the same way as first aid. Simply keeping fishing current through about level 50 is a good way to set up the push to 300 or 350 later in the game.

One important key is to always keep a good supply of lures available. Nightcrawlers, bright baubles and the fish attractor are all very useful ways to build fishing skill in higher-level areas. Nightcrawlers drop from undead monsters quite often too. Don't sell those worms! They might help build your high level skill!
