There is very little in World of Warcraft more frustrating than trying to fight through a stunlock. Despite what you might hear on gaming forums, the game is balanced for one vs. one combat, and all classes have the ability to defeat a stunlock if they are properly prepared.
1. Fighting rogues requires a ton of stamina. You want to force the rogue to collect at least ten combo points to win. The longer the fight continues, the more likely it is the rogue will mistime an attack, or miss, which will break the lock. 2. Moving is pointless. It is impossible to outrun a rogue in combat, so don't bother trying to reposition the fight unless there is something nearby that can distract the rogue long enough for you to attack or escape. 3. Use instants only. Anything with a cast time is going to be interrupted, so there is no point in wasting the half-second you might have just to have the spell interrupted anyway. 4. If you have a pvp trinket, make sure to trinket the transitional stuns like blind and sap. The reason for this is that a rogue cannot continue a stunlock unless they can restealth, and forcing them to vanish greatly reduces their options in the second or third round of combo points.5. Don't button mash. Watch the fight as it proceeds and try to anticipate what the rogue wants to do next. If you can see an attack coming, you might be able to force it to miss. Turning your back on a gouge is a devastating way to throw off a rogue's timing, and it has the added benefit of providing a window for instants like potions, shields or snares.PrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub

Wow, these are all excellent tips. I think mages, if geared right, can handle these situations a little better than most classes. But, you're right, rogues are a pain in the arse!
Also, if you happen to have a mage (or simply like theorycrafting), I've created a website that pull your character's data from the WoW Armory and runs some calculations. It's only working for Mage's and Warlock's at the moment, but you can see it here: http://www.spelldamage.com
Enjoy! Let me know what you think!
