The Black Russian Terrier has a close-lying, weatherproof coat that is hard, wiry and tight. This breed sheds very little if it is regularly groomed, and should be brushed at least once a week. Hair from the ear ducts should be removed and the hairs under the paws cut. In addition, the Black Russian should be professionally groomed and trimmed several times throughout the year.
