FIRST THINGS FIRST

So you are ready to embark on the journey of Network Marketing? Have you read Robert Kiyosaki and others who have been recommending Network Marketing as a great way to learn communication, sales, and networking and also make some money, maybe even a lot of money? Great! So how do you find that golden opportunity? Good question! Let's look that that together.

So many (well OK almost all of them) companies will always say that they are the best, and down play (sometimes very negatively) all the other companies in the industry. That is unfortunate, and is a result of competing for you - the opportunity seeker. To anyone who will defend that philosophy, I would recommend "THE GREATEST NETWORKER" by John Milton Fogg, whish could be downloaded for free from his website www.greatestnetworker.com.

In the sea of the Network Marketing Opportunities how can you find the one that will fit your needs, desires, and personality? Here is a blue print that might help you on your journey.

1. WHAT IS YOUR PASSION?

The first thing that is so important in life and especially in network marketing is your passion. What do you love to do? What drives you? What would you do if you did not get paid for? By looking at that you can begin to determine what kind of a product or service you will market to others. Do you love to travel? Great! Tons of companies that deal with that. Do you like to help others with financial services or insurance? Great! Tons of great companies there. Are health and nutrition your callings? Awesome! So many companies deal with that. List goes on and on. There is a company for almost everything that uses Network Marketing or MLM distribution channels.

Why is your passion so important? Because one of the fundamental laws of Network Marketing is that you have to be passionate about your service/product. You have to love it so much that even if you were not making a penny from recommending that product or service you would still talk about it non-stop! If you don't do that, then you are simply another salesman pushing a product. People feel that, and neither you nor they will get satisfaction from it.

Don't choose the company simply on the compensation plan, or just because it's the newest thing in town, or even if its no-brainer must succeed product/service. All of that will matter very little if you are not 100% passionate about the product/service.

2. CHOSE YOUR COPANY CAREFULLY!

Next, research the company a bit. Test the product if possible, or see how it can be applied into your life. Also don't trust everything you will read, especially any negative things without merit. Take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt, both the positive and the negative. Nothing is perfect, and therefore a company that has been on the market for a short time will not have anything negative on it, and a company that has been around for a while will always have something bad. This is a natural state since no company is perfect, and there will also be someone who is unhappy and blame someone else for the challenges.

See if the company has any meetings and events, and go check them out. Check out the Better Business Bureau records on the company. Find out the energy of the company and the vibe. Ask yourself if this is the company and the people you will spend your next 3-5 years of associating with.

Then check out the pay plan and understand how it works, and how you will be able to profit from it.

3. CHOSE YOUR SPONSOR CAREFULLY!

Your sponsor will be your mentor and your guide for the life in your business. This is the person whose job there is to get you started and get you going. Find someone you will want to work with, and don't take on someone out of the blue. Ask them about their involvement, and how many others they have helped in the past. If the company is great, but your sponsor and/or his upline support (the people who recruited the person who is recruiting you), you will have a tougher journey, and a rougher sailing. You can still succeed, but you will be like a pioneer.

4. CHECK YOUR SYSTEM!

When you join the Network Marketing industry, you are getting a system that will help you build your business. That is the advantage of the industry. You have the system and also people who are vested in you, who already know how the system works. Just like when you buy a franchise you get brand name and a system, you get a brand name and a system with network marketing. When you are reviewing your opportunity ask for how the system works and what will be your first steps. This will give you and idea if there is a system, and is the system gives you the steps that you will be able to do. It should be simple, and yet also challenging enough for you to learn new skills and grow.

5. GROW YOUR SELF!

Network marketing is the industry that comes with amazing personal development piece attached to it. Make sure that your future company has lots of trainings about the system and the products/services. Also the culture of the company should provide you with a lot of personal growth and development trainings and point you to more resources for growing your communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. If that is not the culture of the company, it may lose momentum.

6. YOUR GUT FEELING

Finally go with your gut feeling, if something feels wrong, if you feel you are being pressured or conned into something, walk away! You can always make up your mind later, or talk to another person in that company to see if they do things the same way. Don't judge the whole apple tree just because you've got a wormy apple.

Well these are a few steps to think about when you evaluating an opportunity to join.

I love this hub - well written and very informative. So many people join mlm just because they think that they can earn a quick buck but network marketing is really a business based on serving others and building them up so that they can become leaders.

I like the point you make about choosing a sponsor too - so many people concentrate on the idea of 'recruiting' whereas in actual fact people choose to work with us rather than the other way round. So focus on developing yourself so that you become the kind of person that lots of other people want to work with.

Kind regards, Louisa

I love network marketing. Some call it multilevel marketing, but that is not the issue here. Whatever you call it the issue is that you have an opportunity of building income from residual work and linking with people who are motivated and goal oriented. Just this morning I just discovered that I have earned a few dollars again despite the fact that for some reasons I have not done anything on that programme for about two months. Where else can you get something like that except in network marketing. Well I advise anybody that is serious on making money to join a good one like the one I am into.http://www.holidaysandcash.com/mayorking
