42Easier for Some, Very Difficult for Others
Don't worry, be happy. Just do it!
Sometimes, it's just that simple. Othertimes, it's far, far more difficult. Realistically, self doubt and self abuse are difficult to overcome and easy to slide back into. Self help methods can be effective for some but not for others. Group or individual therepy can help some but not others. Meditation works for many, but not all. Religion works for many, but again - not all. Same goes for medication.
There is no one, single, quick magical cure-all. Some people have great support from family and friends, yet there may be lousey or no support from those around you.
There is only one constant that I know to be absolutely true: YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! Regardless of what private hell you are going through - there are others out there who are also going through their own private hells. I believe that everyone has obsessions and depressions to varying degrees. Not one single soul on this Earth is perfect or free from troubles.
I know there are many resources on the web. Healthyplace is one such mental health portal. There are others if you search for them or ask around.
If you are reading this, you already have made an important step in seeking relief from your torment - you CARE!!! I urge you to keep caring about yourself (or a loved one who is hurting). Don't give up!!! Be patient - it could take awhile. Seek out others. You might be strange, but so are we all!
