Some times some programs like office, winamp, opera etc get stucked or hang down and you see an error as Not Responding. even if you can click on them they dont work, not even the close button. the task mangers "end program" feature will take too much time or fails. Well here is a trick which can be used to kill the programs automatically when the program gets hanged or goes into the "Not Responding" status.well if u know what process is hanged and if you can manually kill it in the task manager then you can go with it but if you dont know which process then this is an opt trick to use.. isnt it?

Steps to set auto kill not responding programs
* Backup your registry first. http://www.avirtualexit.com/2007/04/13/how-to-backup-the-windows-registry/ * Go to Run and enter “Regedit“. * Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop * Here you will find a string called as “Auto End Task“, set its value to “1” by double clicking it. This means any hung program will be killed instantaneously. * Now suppose if you want to give some time, as some programs come back to normal in few minutes, Find a key called as “WaitToKillAppTimeout“, change the value to the value you want. You have to enter value in milliseconds though. If anything goes wrong, use your backed up registry to get back to normal.!!!
