How's Your Breakfast ?

Undoubtedly you know that breakfast is touted as your most important meal. You have heard it said enough.

So what is your breakfast? A quick cup of coffee? A short glass of orange juice? Or is it a biscuit and egg from a fast food restaurant? In their place each of these can be okay or even good, but they are not breakfast.

When I traveled on business around the country I enjoyed a full breakfast before leaving the hotel or motel. I could get the same meal in every part of the country, and it was usually properly prepared. It was the best meal of the day. And it was important to me.

Thoughts About Breakfast.

1.Why? You had no food during 8-hours sleep. Since proteins are not stored in the body proteins need to be replenished. And proteins are an important source of energy for your morning.

2. Why? Eating breakfast can help avoid diabetes by bringing sugar levels to normal. It helps avoid other illnesses and diseases by getting the body up to normal needed operating levels, and actions.

3. Why? Over eating later in the day after having no breakfast can lead to over weight and obesity. Food in the stomach prevents hunger and overeating at lunch.

4. Why? Healthy breakfast foods, like eggs, fruit and bran cereal are a source of vitamins and minerals. If these are not taken in in the morning it will hard to make them up later in the day.

5. Why? Vitamins, minerals, and proteins will help the body to function correctly for the remainder of the day.

6. Why? A healthy breakfast helps one to choose healthy foods for the remainder of the day. Hunger is not driving the food selection of food allowing healthy choices.

7. Why? Breakfast can include such healthy foods as whole grain toast, peanut butter spread on the toast, and a banana, a glass of milk, having foods from four food groups.

8. Why? Setting aside 15-minutes for a healthy breakfast can make a great difference in your diet for the remainder of the day.

Conclusion

A healthy breakfast can improve one's diet, give the body its needs to function correctly at the start of the day, and help one to choose healthy foods for the remainder of the day.

A healthy breakfast will make your day go better.
