Lucraive V-Day Opportunities

Valentine's Day is an international day of love and caring, and it also can be a great money-making opportunity for you. Here are five easy ways to make big bucks on the Day of Love:

Valentine's Day Babysitting

All parents dream of going out for dinner on Valentine's Day, but they often can't find a sitter in time. Here's where you come in: if you're good with kids, have character references, and have CPR training or certification, you can make 12+ dollars an hour babysitting on a busy holiday such as February 14th. Advertise on Craigslist and Backpage.com, as well as on local bulletin boards to find a great babysitting gig. You can work for whoever bids highest for you, and if you're good, they might hire you as a more permanent caregiver after Valentine's Day, which will lead t even more money for you.

Sell Hand-Made Valentines

If you're artistically inclined, design a hand-made Valentine and make a few dozen copies. Post your design on CafePress.com and sell your design at craft fairs and Valentine's Day events. With your design, people will be able to hand out beautiful hand-made valentines to their friends, family, and co-workers. You can charge $3-$10 for every 5-pack of cards you sell, depending on your skill level and marketing skills.

Sell Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Chocolate-covered strawberries are a great Valentine's Day treat, and they're easy to make an sell. All you need is a cooler, lots of tiny plastic food boxes, dipping chocolate, and a few dozen strawberries. Advertise your business online before Valentine's Day, and set up shop on a street corner or in front of a grocery store. You can sell berries for a $1 or $1.50 each, and if you accent

your berries with nuts, sprinkles, or confectioner's gold dust, you can charge even more.

Write Love Letters

If you're a talented writer, then volunteer to write love letters for your friends and acquaintances- for a fee, of course. Create a few basic examples of different kinds of love letters, and charge $5-$15 for each completed love letter. Advertise by word of mouth as well as online to get the most customers possible.

Sell Your Old Jewelry

If you have jewelry lying around the house that you can't stand to wear because its from an ex or its just not your style, you can sell it online for a very high profit around Valentine's Day, the time when everyone is searching for jewelry to buy. Post your piece or pieces on EBay and Craigslist, and you'll soon get some great offers for it. You'll make money on something you would have never worn anyway while changing a pricey liability into cash.

With its enormous popularity, Valentine's Day is a great time to make some extra money. I hope these ideas have given you some valuable ideas and tips. Happy Valentine's Day!
