THIS IS A FIRST!!! My only Hub Pages Exclusive
I got censored. On this website. It's not the first time I've been censored, as I tend to be generous with profanity and address topics better left in the bedroom (or the fittiing room, if you're the naughty sort).
I was recently in a discussion on HP in which we dicussed what would happen if the Hub Police didn't like what you published. I found out. Three times. They "un-publish" your hub and highlight it in red. When you go to it, there's a nice alert waiting for you, scolding you about your inappropriate content. I had three hubs pulled off at the same time; all for Adult/Sexual content. The three hubs that were pulled off were "The Vagina Diatribe", "The Emaciation Proclamation", and "Transhomogendersexual". They offer you the opportunity to tweak the offending pieces and resubmit them for publishing. I did (albeit with a capital letter/bold statement at the top that said the hub had been censored and that the changes were between brackets - the edits are really funny, by the way), and two were released from confinement. One wasn't. Transhomogendersexual. That article is still being held hostage by the Hub Police. I revised it, already, but I guess not enough.
Now I'm worried about my little hub. Are they feeding it praise to keep it strong? Are they having a nice chuckle about it, so it feels like it's fulfilling its purpose? Who knows. All I know is I changed all the offensive stuff and they still won't let it out. I thought about re-revising it, but every time I think about doing it, I just end up thinking, well actually saying, "Fuck these motherfuckers."
Am I crazy not to want to re-revise? Is it still the same piece if I perform TWO mandatory edits on it against my will? I think not. That is not the spirit of The Life Articles. I really love Hub Pages. I love the communal feel of it. I love the idea of a bunch of people around the world writing and reading each others' work and commenting and interacting with one another. I don't like censoring my own work. I say the F word for a reason, I mention sex for a reason and sometimes body parts get thrown in just for fun.
I am writing this as my official Hub Pages retirement of that piece. I will not re-revise. I'm sorry guys, but I changed it once, converting all the "bad stuff" to funny replacements like "doing stuff and "interactions," but it wasn't enough and I am not willing to further mutilate that piece on the HP altar, simply for the sake of more readers. No.

Not really. I think the "survivors" are of acceptable content. Well, to most anyway. OK, not most, just the ones who count.
Pest's masturbation one got "yanked." I got to read it before they nabbed it, though. It was kind of nasty and as I read through it I remember thinking How are these bastards pulling my stuff and they let this slide?? I apologize for all the inuendo, but it's hard not write naughty when addressing naughty topics.
