Hub Pages HeadQuarters From Space - An example of the Power of GoogleEarth Software!
62This is the Hub Pages building
Hub Page HQ
I saw in the forum how people were reacting to another Huber getting to visit the Hub Pages sanctuary in San Francisco and I got this idea to go Google earth it.
If you don't know what that is, go to GoogleEarth.com and download the free powerful application and you can see any location on earth from aerial photos taken with air planes and helicopters and stitched (seamlessly) together to give you an amazing ride to anywhere on the planet. It works with the ease of yahoo or Google maps, yet you can actually drive virtually almost right on the road from as close in some areas as 100 feet off the ground (1000 most places and in some countries you can't see below 25,000 feet). You can pan in and out from space to the ground, tilt the camera angles and more, it's truly an amazing application.
Businesses are now adding 3D drawn in CAD artwork to the buildings to give them a real 3D look and feel (as with the images you get basically a flat view of the overhead area. Luckily for us, Hubpages Headquarters is one of those areas with a 3D rendered building drawing over it so you get a real good Idea of what it looks like!
Below are pictures I saved from the program of several angles of the building so you all can see where these websites are being stored, and where our dedicated team of hub experts work every day! It would be cool if Hubpages would post some pictures of the work environment inside and the building outside so we could add them to this hub and give people a nice feel of all this (hint hint).
I put the pictures with and without the overlays of the buildings in a picture slide show so play them to see the animation of with and without the building (kind of neat effect).
