57College Football Update Nov.1, 2009
College Football Fans have to be feeling pretty good with and extra hour of sleep after staying up to watch the Oregon Ducks run all over USC and win every quarter except the second a 14 – 14 tie the Ducks clearly out played the Trojans. And clearly made a statement about their right to play for a national championship, except for the fact that the number three Texas Longhorns where putting on a football clinic of their own and maybe sending a message that this Texas team is special something other Texas teams have not done.
With the Ducks and the Longhorns putting on clinics the Number four rank Iowa Hawkeyes put on a clinic of their own by playing one of the greatest four quarters of the season just when it seem these Hawkeyes’s would crash land they rose up from defeat to say hey we can play this game with the best.
Then we go to Georgia to watch Tim Tebow lead his Florida Gators to victory with ease and maybe seal up his second Heisman Trophy Tebow may be the best college Quarterback of all time these Gators are shoe ins for the BCS Championship game unless something wild happens.
While Cincinnati and Boise State continue to win they will have little if any impact on the national championship this Bearcat team is a good team but their schedule will rob them of their shot, Boise State will join them being on the outside looking in almost forgot number six TCU who beat UNLV 41-0 to remain undefeated and out of the BCS picture.
Alabama had the week off and will play LSU this week who would love to add some excitement to the SEC the best conference and college football by far; if the tide continues to roll they still will have to win and SEC championship game over Florida to earn a shot at the national championship.
And other games South Carolina was out played by Tennessee, Miami of Florida won a close one over Wake Forest as the ACC continue to mix it up. Norte Dame had a convincing over Washington State as did Penn State defeating Northwestern 34-13, the Houston Cougars put up 50 and a 50-43 win over Southern Miss.
