New Game/Task for Hubbers
I have been a member of various online communities for years. One kind of community I am a part of revolves around the creation of images called 'avatars,' which are a visual representation of a character or persona adopted by a roleplayer or HTML chatter. These avatars frequently feature celebrities and in order to make them, the artist uses programs such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to edit the images provided to them.
The design sites I belong to play games specifically geared to challenge and expand on the talents of the designers, generally having goals such as:
- Make this pretty girl as ugly as you can
- Colorize this black and white picture
- Create an image using these random pictures
One such game is called Image Tennis, and the game is played like this:
One designer takes a base image and makes one change to it. This change could be the application of a filter, adjusting contrast, brightness, sharpness, or cropping the image into something more manageable.
Lately I've gotten to thinking about a game we Hubbers could play which is something like Image Tennis. Let's call it Hub Tennis.
Gameplay is simple:
I will choose a topic for the first player to write about. Once the first player has written their hub on the topic, they pick a topic and the second person who signed up will have to write about it, and so on.
The only people I will consider "signed up" will be those leaving a comment to this hub - so tell your friends!

Besides forums and contests, they have some free applications and some low cost, higher-cost and discount stuff. My friend goes by ChickenLips. :) They do some awesome stuff there and some funny stuff.

Speechless. Why Jaguar? I was just gonna write how pretentious they are to try and change the pronunciation, but that's about 2 sentences. Advice?

Tried that. There aren't any. That's what's making me crazy about this word is that it has so few cross-references. There are no songs with the word Jaguar in the title. There are no movies either. I'm stumped.
Isn't there a Jaguar in "The Jungle Book"? I think there's also a Beach Boys song that mentions an XKE. Sports team maybe?
There was also a British heavy metal band called Jaguar, in the late '70s. That could be up your alley.

Sorry about the delay... I just can't tear myself away from my grandbabies, the campsite, the lake, the outdoors and all. The laptop only work off and on. Just an idea, but wouldn't it be more convenient to use HubPages' functionality to Request a hub from the Hubber that's next in line? 'All' you would have to do (which still is a lot of work, my compliments) is update this hub as far as the list of participants and the list of finished hubs is concerned. Just a thought...
Not really. Since the players come and leave a comment with the link to the specific hub they wrote for the game I can update without leaving this page. Thanks for the idea though. :) There's also a personal touch to things that would be lost if I went that route.
